DT-35 is mechanical? Didn't know that..

They are just cheap rubber domes that got popular because them Korean gamers use them, cause they are cheap.

Does anyone here used Retrobright or its equivalents to clean yellowed plastic?

Avoid them. Look at the feedback for the Xarmor, it's the same OEM

is this Ducky 9008 or 1008?
*
DK9008 with PBT keycaps. Stock Ducky PBT keycaps are lasered and looked a bit dark and dull, and they only come with a chinese keyset

LOL since last thread i forecast the rise of virtual keyboard(touch screen) but most of ppl here are against it.

Also, i do feel that it may be convenience but definitely not comfortable. You cant touch type and no place to rest your finger.... sweat.gif

For the case of tablet PC, it is different as we stare and type on the same screen.
*
laugh.gif. Even if they go mainstream, most likely started by Apple if ever, the cost of these items will definitely be more expensive than el cheapo rubber domes, which id the benchmark of cheap keyboard prices for majority non mech/gaming keyboard enthusiast.

Even my RM10 rubber dome for the HTPC is waaaaaaay better than the current generation of touchscreen keyboard in terms of feel and feedback IMHO

If you're near Petaling Jaya or Subang Jaya I'll just head over there and pick it up lol, if not then I guess I'll have to resort to Pos Laju as well.
*
He's from Taiping, unless you stay there, I doubt that's gonna happen

BTW nice find by iphonelover for the old keyboards posted at GH. Maybe should bulk via Sea shipping smile.gif
The seller is a bit rude, so be careful when dealing with him

I think with the condition like that, the switches is not useful. Only the keycaps are. But they seem awfully shiny and nobody has a sandblaster unit here.

I have a feeling he doesn't sell in small quantities. He got impatient when I asked a lot of questions and terus said don't want to deal with me

EDIT: In addition, he's selling the keyboard as a whole. No deal on keycaps only

1800 is useful for all except the CAPS LOCK, right shift and the bottom row.
The g80-3000 has the bottom row, but still missing CAPS lock and right shift

The closest alternative is the MX8000 which goes for 300 - 400 RMB, which is a lotta money

eh, but the description there says this:

严格说来,这款键盘,属于薄膜键盘

this keyboard is a membrane/rubber dome keyboard.

confused already :S
*
Means it feels close to Rubber domes

@iphonelover
I am aware of this model, but the CAPS LOCK, right SHIFT bottom row don't fit, so need to find alternatives for that.
Closest alternative is the MX8000 series

No point buying the 1800 and stall on mx8000 cause it cost a lot. Might as well not buy, and wait for the next GH group buy, which probably gonna cost less for a set of 2shots

all switches i have here are only with 2 pin. never see MX switch with 4 pin before  rclxub.gif

2 copper pins, 2 stabilizer plastic pins, and one black and round thingie
Alternatively, there may be an embedded diode which gives 2 more copper pins
Stabilizer pins are for PCB mounted case, can be easily snipped off with nail clippers.

Thinking of getting a Ducky 9 series keyboard.

Calling all Ducky 9008G2 owners out there! What do you think of the media keys? Let's say I want to replace my keyboard with black-on-black laser etched keys... how do you find replacements for those extra 4 keys?

Also, personally I don't need those media keys. But I can't seem to find a Ducky 9000G2 with Brown switches... all of them seem to only come in Red sad.gif

Since the engraved keys are going to cost you upwards of RM100, why not consider the Year of Tiger edition, comes with etched keys and is G2 series.

I don't really like used switches, something about them losing tactility over time, thus I opt for the new switches from AG
Otherwise, I would've easily sourced some used switches off taobao for cheaps anyway

Your link does not work.
Generally speaking, Ducky's PBT caps aren't something to die for. The laser etching gives low contrast and the get dirty pretty soon. You are better off with the KBC ones, and a full set cost about RM100~ish.

Full set of KBC PBT 104 key set
Actually the choice is quite simple. Since the price difference is not big, you should probably go for the DK9008
