QUOTE(johnnycp @ May 26 2011, 02:00 AM) Woot!!! Just got the Ducky DK9000 and DK1087 Brown switch from PCHome. I have never seen such a solid keyboard since the 286/386 era. Love it! Thats more than RM500. Any problems with Ketam?QUOTE Hey look at this, http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10352485967 Haha, nice advertising words by bashing other brands mech keyboard. btw, i like the way they use WIN button instead of the windows logo button + seller stated caps are Ultra-durable POM gold laser engraved keycaps.. What do you guys think? It is a FILCO clone. IIRC, someone made a front panel for that and it fits FILCO and the Noppoo Pro This post has been edited by kaiserreich: May 26 2011, 09:43 AM |

QUOTE(lolokzarecool @ May 26 2011, 03:42 PM) So i was browsing around taobao until i found something weird ALPS, ughhI thought iOne Scorpius M10 was all cherry mx blue or black only right?? But wait wtf is this?? http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=4311908000 <== ????Alps white??? the ione scorpius we are used to seeing http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9840693106 <== Blue switches I've had enough ALPS for now Got a AT101W with Black ALPS that is full of dust. Makes the keys gritty, high friction, not really nice for typing. Need more work taking out each ALPS switch and grease them. Taking the switches apart is more troublesome than desoldering the whole keyboard My mom found a Green ALPS NTC keyboard in her office storage, nobody wants it so she took it back. It was non-tactile, non clicky, but the activation point is very early, making it double tapping very easy without me attempting to double tap on it. A lot of work cleaning them up and applying retrobright but they are not the best keyboards to type on. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: May 26 2011, 04:17 PM |

QUOTE(tALEz @ May 28 2011, 06:45 PM) Hey Guys! Read around for what people think about it, OCN or GH, and see what problems they have.I'm a mech keyboard noob here (haven't really owned 1 yet). I'm interested in getting the iOne Xarmor, particularly the XArmor U9BL-S. http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9BL-S-backli.../dp/B004OLLXVQ/ But can't seem to find it anywhere in KL? Not even any forumers selling it. May I know what's the best way to get hold of this item? Or do I have to buy it online. Then come back and tell us you got one of those If you die die also want, try taobao. |

The USB hub are meant to attach a wireless mouse or what not.
Attaching a mass storage device would render your keyboard useless when you are transferring stuff. |

QUOTE(daijoubu @ May 29 2011, 11:52 PM) I think the FKBN87M/EB are circa RM400 and the FKB104M/EB are circa RM335. are they reasonable compared to local ones? Based on Amazon JP price, I saw something about 7000 - 8000 yen for the FILCO with Cherry MX switches, so thats pretty cheap. Or consider the FILCO Zeros for the LOLs. Those are dirt cheap.I see from the list Ducky have more followings than Filco. Are Ducky better? Topre seems way too expensive for my blood If you can find the Realforce and HHKB in Yahoo JP auctions, those might be worth it. |

Pay in USD, then paypal will convert to taiwan dollar.
The rates is about Rm1 to NT$93.5 after conversion. Don't even need to convert to Taiwan dollar. Just Checkout at PCHOME, choose paypal for payment method and everything is smooth sailing from there. |

How much do they cost? Does your friend want to handle shipping to Malaysia?
I think it's really cheap if you just use normal mail? |

Even Topres don't feel like Mechanical Keyboards. They feel like very good rubber domes.
If DT35 is legendary? What do you call Topre domes? Anyway, my opinion is that you guys who thinks domes feeling like MX switches, which the context of the 'mechanical Keyboard' in this discussion bottom out too much when you type, thats why you think these domes feel like Mechanical Keyboard. Can you tell the difference between domes and MX switches by pressing a key? This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Jun 2 2011, 07:03 PM |

QUOTE(xcen @ Jun 4 2011, 10:26 PM) Couldn't be using it THAT much! I've only used this keyboard for about half a year. My old Logitech took like 2 years before developing any form of shininess. It's just the way it is.Why isn't it oil stain? If you don't want shine, get white PBTs. The shine on those keys are hard to see. I can barely tell whether the keys shine or not on my Model M |

Kicap--- The mechanical keyboard market is getting more competitive with lots of similar products to choose from. To set itself apart, Ducky Channel is making keyboards with more features and more bang for the buck. One has illuminated keys coming in at $3000 NTD and another one is value-oriented and can be had for $999 NTD. .....另外就是所展的兩款入門鍵盤,採用alps軸,80%的設計將會落在999元左右,而標準鍵盤可能就高個一百元。 Value oriented are those XM ALPS DK1087. At RM100~ish(+some bit of margin) a piece, assuming thats how our Malaysian distro is going to price it This thread gonna move faster when those uber cheap ducks come in. Assuming of course, storm does bring them in Thus far I saw black and green simplified ALPS from the Computex shots. Blacks are tactile and non-clicky Greens are linear swtiches This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Jun 6 2011, 10:56 AM |
