My explanation is:
if you buy 1 normal keyboard, RM30. If e a rubber dome on the membrane died, the whole board is dead. RM30 gone.
if you buy mechanical keyboard, RM300++. If a switch died, all you need is just a switch. RM5 or less per switch depending on the color.
MEchanical keyboard ftw.

So. I'm in taiwan now. and I went to a small computer shop. and guess what.... on the racks. ITS A DAS ULTIMATE KEYBOARD!!!! 

I was just going to buy it when I found out they don't accept credit card (No cash with me) 

So I ended up with some Taiwanese mechanical keyboard because I can't find any other shop selling Das Keyboards.

Also the Taiwanese keyboard uses a black switch. Not tactile enough, or should I say  NO TACTILITY AT ALL.

What I got is an iOne Scorpius-M10. I've googled about it and most of the results say it has a Blue switch. But the one I got is black. 

But I'm still happy because I got it under RM300.

It's black on black? Or engraved? It comes with a black on black and free 1 engraved set?

I should design a switch, please wash, clean, dry, and apply antiseptic before you can activate the keyboard. In any means, no food in 10 feet radius of this keyboard.

I think it's the same keyboard as Ducky 9008 with only white layout.
Dillema that 9008v2 only cos 2990NT compared to this white ducky @ 3390NT..

Do I really need the USB NKRO? I have no problem getting a PS2 port since it will be connected to a desktop, anyhow 6KRO over USB is also perfectly fine..
On the other hand red switch 9008v2 cost 3590NT..  not sure if I would like it since I really like clicky sound

I dont think any mechanical keyboard will ever use volumetric weight when shipping as the ''density'' is definitely quite high compared to other stuffs like cloth which certainly will use volumetric weight.

Taobao seller's packaging is full of uncertainty. Some is nicely packed and some packed yet still get smashed. For a keyboard, i think better standby like 400-500g of extra packaging weight for it.

Though, someone here who bought Ducky 1008+wrist rest manage to keep it below 2kg though(1.9kg).

whats the diff of 9000 and 1008 (laser)? other than the multimediakey. the price diff is only rm20. 1008 (non laser) is like rm40 cheaper than 9000. anyway, i just need to know whats the significant diff of 9 series and 1 series.

if BMW you know 5 series is bigger and more comfy than 3 series. but for keyboard, other than keycap printing, i cant find other measures.

which means the typing experience will probably be the same. just that 9 series will tahan longer?

Based $40 USD for 78 Key, not yet adding ctrl, alt, shift, and numbpad AND Arrow Key.
