my advise, clear and cut it before AF imposed. HLB very %^&** insisting you pay the AF as well if being charged or they will offer u another card to continue so that your wise AF will be reverse out but unable to use anymore

Well I called and ask if I could cancel the card before settling  the payment.. they said cannot. So I settled the bill and cancel them..then they say need 3 to 5 working days and the cc team will call me to confirm again.

please enlighten me more on this, i did not saw this CB in their brochure

thats why as i said, clear and cut. you need to clear off before they allow to cut.

If you dont believe me, you can try wait until the AF pop out

Isnt there a 6 month cool down period after u cut?

Btw, just called and asked...need to clear all payment first before cutting it. My annual fee charging date is on 12th August..so I will clear it end of this month and then cut it.

As I know you need to be "new to card" to have them waive the AF

which means 12 months not 6 months

should be reflect in your online in 1 day. mine dissappeared in 1 day

Ya ya just now checked online the cards are gone. The guy in customer service said they will call to confirm cancellation so I was expecting a call but seems don't have. Anyhow I think the card cancelled liao haha

If I can utilize the 100 rebate every month I don't mind paying for the annual fee..but sadly I get about 30-50 rebates every month only so the annual fee is not worth paying

New to card is 6 months... accordingly to citibank, as for other bank I'm not sure
