checked the fan already? sometimes fan that almost kaput will still spin but slow hence it cannot cool down the water fast enough. is the above middle bar happen only when car moving slow or above 80km/h also like that?

you maybe need check the water flow is it flowing fast or slow. if slow maybe your thermostat jammed already, or your water pump got problem.

then there's the water temp sensor, maybe it's faulty or dirty thats why it show higher temp.
*
Hai bro,

The temperature is going up above the middle bar if the car moving above 80km/h. and it is going faster to one bar below the red bar if I use aircond while driving above 80km/h.

So, If you were in my position, what first you will check?
I plan to go to thermostat first..because it is the cheapest one than the others.

Any recommended workshop to settle my problem??
How much if the thermostat is the problem? if waterpump? if the motor fan??

if thermostat jam then the radiotor hose will become bloated or might explode.

when engine is cold. Open up the radiotor cap and start the engine. Monitor the water flow. When cold u wont be seeing much water flowing. After engine warm up awhile, the thermostat should open and u should be able to see the water flowing in one direction.
Try to rev the engine a bit and monitor if the water is suck down to the tank and flows faster or not.

means not fan problem already.

you can check the water flow 1st. start your engine and let it running till the fan start spinning. take out the one end of big hose that connect from your engine to your radiator, the top hose not bottom, preferably take out at the radiator there. open your radiator cap, feed with hose of running water. see the water flow that come out is a lot or very little. if little that mean somewhere have clogged the water flow.

next, you can try take out the thermostat and repeat above steps, if water still very little means got other place clogged up. maybe the radiator clogged up, maybe the water pump not working or maybe inside the block is clogged up.

btw, do you have to constantly top up water at the reservoir tank?

so you mean, the good condition of thermostat if the water flow faster if I rev the engine, right??
I'll try tomorrow morning..

So, two people here suggest me to go check the thermostat first, right??

yup nod.gif can explode especially at high rpm. Coz most of the thermostat faulty and cannot open completely. The the water pump continues to pump and pressure build up till the hose explode. That's why we always see at roadside or highway got ppl's car breakdown and can see water spilling out and with alot water vapour.
And yes, very obvious u can see the water flow running fast or not from the cap open. But dont try this with hot engine tongue.gif
I experienced before on my beloved Toyota KE-70 with 4AGZE wub.gif which was stollen cry.gif

when u rev the engine then water flow faster meaning the water pump is running fine and also the thermostat did open at the required temperature smile.gif

I BOLD your statement above. My fan is start spinning even the engine not start. When I turn the key to ACC position, not started yet, the Fan is already start. Is that a problem??

I have service my radiator before, 1 month ago actually because this problem, but it still occurs. Also replaced radiator cap.
I filled up the reservoir tank before hari raya, until today it just half empty.

How exactly the procedure to check the thermostat? I am not clear enough..Big hose here you mean that directly connected to the radiator right? just take it out? so the water will flow outside??

If flow fast doesn't mean the thermostat is not good. With a good thermostat, u should be able to see an interval of the water flow start flowing faster and slower. Meaning the thermostat got open and close as it should be.
You can DIY replacement the thermostat with proper socket wrench. A new gasket will be needed to be replaced together with the thermostat. I reckon u to buy back the original thermostat as all those cheap replacement thermostat wont last long, normally 1 or 2 years will dead.

if after drive when the engine is hot, you turn OFF, then put back at ACC it will continue spinning coz it detect the engine still hot.
when your engine is cold, ie. in the morning, the fan also will spin when put at ACC? if spin means the wiring is direct connect to ACC, not follow radiator temp sensor. will make your fan die faster.

yup, the big hose that connect directly to your radiator. the top hose is water that flow back to your radiator. yup water will flow outside so you can see water gushing out like pipe water or small drip. just remember to feed water from your radiator top with house pipe water coz we want water to continue flowing inside your engine.

new thermostat got rubber fitted together with it, doesn't need additional gasket, at least that's how for my 4G92 lar.

why you wanna change your fan? your fan should be still ok, just need to do the wiring.

for now just check the airflow and if really not much water flow, try take out the thermostat and check again is the flow much better.

something like gel or vaseline oil. Normally ppl will apply on the battery terminal to protect againts corrosion.
I remembered last time went to proton service they sure charge for that.
