Just bought myself a mi300 yesterday, my first smart phoen . Now trying to root the 2.1. Just dload z4root a while ago, now I need a android SDK right (to install the z4 apk file)?

New user report in. Feel like iphone 3gs at much lower price. Two thumb up.

ok got it. not as hard as I thought, just dload z4root, connect phone with usb cable and mount the sd card, move teh z4root to the phone and click the z4root on the phone, then follow on screen instruction.

no need.. just put that z4 in sd card. run file browser, install..then permanent root..
btw, if u going to Phantom King Sky Fish rev2..
no need root at all..

just 3simple step
just download SUT (6xMB) and (skyfish rev2 ROM 1xxMB )
install and run SUT, browse for skyfish nbo..(extract 1st)
flash and voila..
done.

zyulander: I am going for PhantomKing, heard alot of good feedback about it.

salimbest83: I root so I can install romManager, need to backup incase shit happens and at least I can put back the official rom and sent for warranty.

But RomManager is not working today, after install when i try to backup it keep telling me my "cannot find server", my wifi is working fine.

I have a question guys, what does the stock manager backs up and what it doesn't?

Doest it back up user data? (photos,contacts on phone, games score etc)?

it wil display last custom ROM boot screen.

as for photos,game score etc.. that on SD card.. it wont backup la..

yep it wont as salimbest83 says..manual backup ur media in card before attempting anything major

contacts can sync from google contacts anytime

as for apps + data (scores, settings etc) you can backup and restore the app+data with titanium backup

guys try power amp, its superb~!make SQ sooo much better..

forgive me if i'm wrong, just to clarify here. i thought benny888 say rom manager can backup our csl stock rom (assuming the phone is never flash before) plus the csl boot screen?

and when we restore back we will get the csl boot screen back too?

only backup rom as .zip..
but it wont save ur bootimage..
so when u restore back, if no flash other ROM its okay la..
but once u flash custom ROM like that superb skyfish rev2..
there's no turning back.. (for now)

Wanna ask.. we use the ROM Manager to go to recovery mode..

1. Do the SPICE compatible with other recovery mode?? For example: Amon Ra..

2. There is one function that the ROM Manager offer, we can flash any application using the zip format right.. Is it safe to flash zip files content suitable application? (not the rom)



Just want to know more about this.

1. our backup zip via rom manager.
2. using the spice nbo file.

if not same, what the different?

i read there post that if we revert back to 2.1 using the zip backup file, we will get error on the line service, etc.



Few days using phantom king rev2:

1. problem, there many force close program.
2. device keep restart itself almost the time..

why? anyone??

phantom rom is the most stable rom this moment..maybe u flash it wrong, clear all data/cache in recovery
