I am a huge SteelSeries fan. I tried most of their products already and know them like the back of my hand.  blush.gif

Wow. I'm using the 5Hv2 (I got it from a contest icon_idea.gif ) and I love it so much!
Comfortable for my skull, good sound quality and yet somehow better on my phone compared to my desktop laugh.gif

Eh bros, wanna ask if an engineering student get an i5 with HD3000 who also happens to play a lot of Flash games and some non-hardcore games and does Photoshop with a little video editing
Sounds okay?

is a43sj worth the bucks ? i3-2310M (2 core)-2.1GHz 14" HD Color Shine(LED) 2GB DDR3 500GB-5400rpm NV GT520 1GB DDR3 6 Cell 5200mAH Win7 Premium (64-bit) for RM1999.. was considering getting A43SV but really tempted by A43SJ red color ! which is better choice? is there any big difference between i3 and i5 ?

Depends on your usage bro
If you use it to play some Flash games, surf on FB and such then an i5 or an i3 won't make any difference. Instead, an i5 would be overkill for your usage.
If you're a gamer then an i5 would be good.

The G470 would be a very good option due to the ergonomic keyboard (LOL, I dunno repeat how many times liao  sweat.gif )
I think Portal 2 has rather demanding graphics? Dun think the Intel HD3000 can really handle the game, but I'm not too sure since I've never played before...
Can't comment on hackintosh as well, no experience, sorry  sad.gif

Seriously still wanna have a look at it though icon_rolleyes.gif
As I know the graphics card are more on gaming and CPU is used more for rendering for AutoCAD, Photoshop and video editing right? Only hardcore stuff needs GC as a sidekick?
Please correct me if I'm wrong rclxub.gif

@AlexLai Portal 2 somehow laggy if I got it to max graphics on my HD3870 Ultimate sweat.gif

And someone posted a problem about it. I use network transferring heavily, so this might be an issue for me.

I'm guessing it's all down to driver optimization. The then ATi HD3xxx times was still a bad time for ATi.

I hope so.
Some prices of the G470 i5 version without the graphic card is jumping so crazily sweat.gif
Prices range from RM1799 to RM2100
Any specific problems with this model? sweat.gif

If looking at other models with an i5 without dedicated graphic card, what would you guys recommend?
Budget as low as possible, 13/14 inch and also have dedicated multimedia keys with at least one USB 3.0 laugh.gif (if possible)

Lenovo G470 would be the only one that fits your requirements I think, especially the "having dedicated multimedia keys" part  laugh.gif
Closest would be Dell's Inspiron 14R, Vostro 3450/3350? But I don't think they have the multimedia keys you wanted

No worries bro, it'll be out in no time since i5-2520M is only one level up compared to the i5-2510M  rclxms.gif

Bang for bucks percentage.. which one is better?
And one level up won't have much difference right? laugh.gif

Depending on what you think its worth it... if based on specs alone, then its rather clear that the Lenovo is better  laugh.gif
But whether a laptop is worth it or not doesn't really rely on merely the specs...

Sorry about the wrong information, just checked Wikipedia...
It seems i5-2410M < i5-2510E < i5-2515E < i5-2520M < i5-2540M
Basically the CPU clocks for the i5-2510E = i5-2515E = i5-2520M, only difference is the i5-2520M having slightly higher GPU clocks  nod.gif
I wonder what those "E" suffixes behind the codes mean  hmm.gif

@Jyong, so unless you want to buy a laptop without a dedicated GPU, might as well go for the i5-2510E/15E (if they come out) haha  laugh.gif

Thanks laugh.gif
Settling my mind on the Lenovo G470 to dual boot Mac OS X and Windows too.
Probably would screw Windows anyway, Google Docs are just awesome LOL

MIA like a CIA biggrin.gif
No one knows who's a CIA here, maybe I am and I don't even know ohmy.gif
Enough with the randomness, i5-2410M and Intel HD3000 again as the question.

Using only integrated, does it play all full HP 1080p movies on an external monitor via HDMI?
Also, what version of HDMI does the Intel HD3000 optimized on? 1.4a?
And I'm concerned about things like AutoCAD, Photoshop and After Effects would be heavy on the graphic card.
Still gonna clear up some confusion on the G470 sweat.gif
