Really ? The last time I did a comparison was in early july this year when I was in frisco..
used amex platinum, mbb vi , cimb vi and amex reserve. Amex reserve was the lowest but I forgot the details..after that never bother to compare again..

Only flying more on this year and will be getting silver soon, so still thinking. AF is something that makes me reluctant to apply, even I can get it for sure
And AMEX's exchange rate are not low if were comparing to Visa/Master. At least for Qatar, but considering it is widely accepted and 5X TP, it is still worth it(rm0.02-0.05 difference for each Riyal).

Unlike MBB VS, it seems that for VI need to show Priority Pass Membership Card. But I will check if that is the case when I go to PPL KLIA2@gateway because that lounge still did not accept PPMC for FREE entries last time I was there.

while in July, Amex reserve rate is better than VI.. that was on USD anyway..
on sep and oct, on SGD, it show VI better rate than Amex Reserve..

The T&C is quite clear actually. It says you can use Plaza Premium Lounge in Malaysia up to 4 times only (for free using your CIMB Preferred VI). For The Green Market at Changi, you can use it as many times as you want as there is no restriction on how many times you can use it in a year.


If you are holding a Business Class ticket, you'll get an invitation to the airline's lounge or the airline's partner lounge is the airline you are flying with does not operate its own lounge at the airport you are flying out from. Alternatively, you may also use the airline's lounge if you hold a Gold Status (airline frequent flyer program) even when you fly Economy Class.
