Dear Gen-X, quoted from ur blog

To qualify for the card, you need to have minimum income of RM36,000 p.a. or at least have another credit card for no less than a year. To apply you can either go to their branch or download the application form and faxed back to them.

Do this means that 1 could apply for ocbc titanium if he has a credit card more than a year but income not reach RM36000?
Gen-X has gone for holiday and will only be back by weekend. Anyway, a few of us have successfully got it using just our existing credit card more than 1 year old as reference and no, the actual income is actually lower than the required RM36k. So i guess it depends on your luck really. No harm trying smile.gif

Maybank basic saving account option 2 gives 50 cents for the first 2 IBG every month, but i reckon there are other cheaper options.

What is the difference between the basic savings account vs current normal savings account?
I already have a normal account with Maybank, do i need to open another to be able to use this feature?

Thanks! smile.gif

This is the BSA:
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...al/ACC-Accounts

Your normal one charge you RM2 for every IBG. Need to open a new BSA if you want this feature.

For Maybank, RM0.50 is the cheapest and this rate applies only to their basic account for the first two IBG done in a month. The cheapest one would be totally free given to **HSBC Premier, **HSBC Premier-i, **HSBC Advance, **HSBC Advance-i (**unlimited), OCBC (just the iQ account and depends on which iQ account you have) and AmBank AMSTAR (5x times only per month). Citibank and Standard Chartered on the other hand, charge a one-flat rate of RM0.50/transfer for all account types.

You mean not all gives 5% rebate ?

Yup, that's the strange thing, even though the description is the same with the gateway merchant's name, some is with 1% rebate, some is with 5% rebate. I haven't got to drill down what type of item I bought for each of these transactions.

Do you have an existing credit card that you've been using more than 1 year ? If you have, you can to apply using that first.

my salary come from 2 company where it is different tauke den basic is 1.2k and 1k each,
but then one of the company give me fixed elaun every month,
when applying a credit card they only take one of my salary slips which happen to be the reason the application to be reject.

got 3 times apply using salary slips fail den with BE form and EPF approve.
now aiming for OCBC titanium but the cc agent keep requesting for my salary slips.
he say only can use either 1..
still got shadow in my heart, scare that i give my salary slip my application will be reject again.

i think with proper explanation and BE form as supporting document, you might have chance to get the card wink.gif

Be careful : RM5 service charge will be applicable for monthly average balance less than RM3,000.

OCBC iQ Basic is better ;-)
5 FREE IBG + Minimum balance of RM500 only.

for those got rejected by OCBC, try again to write an appeal letter to them with all the supporting documents. My friend just got approved even though the CL given is not much by sending them appeal letter with all the supporting documents. Took 1 week to process
