Heads-up for Maxis postpaid user - I've just been charged 6% service tax on monthly charges usage instead of previously only 6% on usage charges.

Talked to Maxis they say it's new tax imposed by gov starting July bill the 6% encompass both on monthly charges and usage charges. GST should have come next year but this starts early vmad.gif vmad.gif

They also informed it's across all telco.

Now, prepaid still do not have gov tax or any tax.

Still recall prepaid also want to charge tax last 1-2 years. But, they stop at last minutes.

Wonder when it is the turn to charge tax for prepaid. Start next year apr?

yes. Just keep looking hotlink sim pack others than #hotlink.
I think #hotlink bring maxis more money. Shorter credit validity, user have to always reload, 50days grey priod vs 90 days old hotlink,

I am on a Maxis SurfMore plan currently. I upgraded my internet quota by 500mb a few months back and am trying to unsubscribe to it now. I can't seem to find a way to do it? Does anyone know how to do so?

You need to call them & request to unsubscribe the additional quota.

Does maxis have wireless (3G/4G) internet plan with quota about 10-20GB per month? I don't want those on-peak/off-peak plan.
My budget is RM150 per month and I need the mobility of wireless connection.
Any suggestion?
