Just got the Solos with my HP Laptop. There's a Superior Strength headband sticker on the box so I hope that it's true from the numerous amount of complaints about the build quality. They updated the Solos recently?

Also, abit worrying is the fact that I can't a serial number on my Solos. There's no S/N on the box either. Do the Solos have S/n?

There are lot of confusion among local people here. People tend to think for example USD13 for original CD is much more cheaper than our price, MYR45.90. This is not entirely true, for them it's still expensive because the living cost there are quite high especially in UK.

Agree with you. Some of my colleague is from AU and US. They always say, living cost in Malaysia is cheaper than their place.

[WTA] if i have a friend at the US and buy me a solo HD and ships back to M'sia, will the customs hold the item or charge tax??

Depend on luck... i suggest your fren put the amount less than RM500.

even my friend win a headphone for free still kena hold but he got prove that getting for free. so customs release for free.

Another thing to take note about oversea units, is the warranty.

Monster Malaysia (Hwee Seng) does not honour warranty claims for oversea units.

I have received many enquiries regarding their faulty/defective oversea units. We cannot do anything about it.

So, you may save couple of hundred RM, but if you are unlucky, your unit is defective, then you are not able to do anything about it.

If you think saving few hundred is worth the shot, then go ahead.

Just make sure you know what you are getting into.

yes cos most NC headphone will have it... and I don't like it.

I have just bought this pair of Dr Dre Beats Tour earphone from a stall at the Gurney camera fair. It turned out to be fakes. RM89 for a pair looked ridiculous to me at the first sight and I should have trusted my instinct.

This incident has deeply infuriated me, and I am disappointed that a mall with a stature such as Gurney fail to do enough as the organizers of this promotion fair, to ascertain that no shops and stalls offer fake goods. One would wonder if this would downright stain Gurney's reputation as a mall with strict rules and regulations on the shop leases, and also put the authenticity of the other branded goods in the mall into question.

If anyone knows a medium for official complains for this matter, could you kindly pm me? Thanks.
