The maintenance fee is too high.. they r charging RM0.25 psf. If u r taking the glades, it will be RM1K+ per month  shakehead.gif

The density is so low & the common area is so big, I doubt 1K each house is enough.
No no for me.

Well I kinda agree with the bolded statement by UFO-ET. I'm a Putra Heights resident and I think the 'quality' of the resident is very important. I would say that 80% of the resident in Putra Heights is Malay and 20% is Chinese, Indian and others (incl. foreigners esp. indonesians) How many have you been to Putra Heights? Before you all comment on how magnificent Putra Height is, please take your time and drive around the residential areas. Personally Putra Heights can be categorized as a medium to low income group as I would say from Section 1-10, there are almost 20-30% of empty houses and most people buy their properties here for investment. If you drive around the neighborhood, you will see alot of empty houses (most shabby looking) with banners slapped all around it. I understand the statement 'quality of the residents' because me myself feel very sad about the mentality of some of the residents, though afford to drive a continental car, but still think like a orang kampung( be it chinese, indian, malay etc..) A few things that I encountered for the past 5 years I stay here, that should fit the bolded statement very very much...

1) boys from low cost apartments across the street (opposite Esso) comes to our playground at Section 9. They destroy our playground equipments, burn them and despite MPSJ keep repair it, the result become the same. Numerous report made, even police come, still no effect. The adults in the playground (some foreigners) just ignore things that happened infront of their eyes.

2) no RA (Resident Association) because most residents here claimed their house is rented, anything talk to landlord, lazy to entertain RA. Attend once RA meeting in my section, big argument until want to fight for a small matter. Disguting.

3) Dont be surprised to see people disposing furnitures and other items that they no longer use (be it small or big) infront of their houses, or anywhere that is an open area. Another sad thing is my neighbor, Chinese (engineer in profesion) disposed their unused vase, pots infront of the playground field. Some residents just throw their sofa in the drain (longkang) nearby their house or other people house.

4) 2-3am, you will hear alot of big motorbikes rounding at the playground area (means infront of my house) be it weekdays or weekend. Sometimes heavily modified cars come to race at the straight main road connecting sec 7, 9 & 10. You can see 'live' fast and furious.

5) I have 2 cars, I parked 1 infront of my gate (without obstructing traffic) and got my car scratched, 'puk*mak' and 'lan *iao'. My neighbors MYVI got painted with cat poo and my malay neighbors honda civic got his side mirror cracked. We have serious security issues here. We are working adults and cars only back at late evening, so no idea who's kid is so uneducated and kurang ajar to do all this. Later we found out it is a pattern random attack.

Actually there are more negative points but I do not want to make the reader's eye sore, so 5 should be suffecient. I dare not say that high end, premium, sofisticated developments do not have lousy residents, but at least it is minimized and finding the culprit will not be a hassle. Every neighborhood has got their nightmares and sweet dreams, because it is all determine by the quality of the residents. I would describe myself as neutral as I do stoopid things like being a litter bug sometimes, but not to the extend of annoying other people. I do know that Putra Heights die hard suppporter and fans will start bashing me like no tomorrow after reading my essay, but hey, its the truth of the truth. So, I really prioritise my next house buying at security (best G+G) 1st, quality of residents (be it chinese, malay or indian only) 2nd and conditions of environment 3rd. I have no regrets buying my current house and do not intend to sell it either, but given the oppurtunity I will find a better place to stay.  smile.gif  smile.gif

I went to The Glades and had a look at the townhouse and the superlink.
My wife likes the place a lot.
Any updated opinion on The Glades.

We actually accidentally drove pass The Glades after going to have a look at One City. It's actually within walking distance although it will take you more than 15 minutes but still walking distance.

Appreciate you taikos updated opinion on The Glades.

Not yet CF-ed.
Completion only next year 2nd half.
But a few of the townhouse units are used by the contestants of a programme on AXN. The sales guy told me the programme is called "Apartment". Or is it Apprentice?
I think that could be the reason you see the lights on.
