That is okay as long as you guys never tempered the sticker and try to unscrew you still can argue for warranty...

my bb 9700 is brightstar unit. if i change the bezel only, does warranty void? i dont see small sticker on top of screw.

Yes it does void... Only unscrew can change the bazel...

ouch...my phone still got 12 month wararnty left..but since brightstar after sale service not so good,i will proceed to change bezel.. tongue.gif

guys finally good news for all nod.gif

after we complained and discuss regarding 1month turn arround time for repairing set.

Finally RIM decided to open a office here in Malaysia by this month and should start to work by next month rclxm9.gif

So in conclusion, turn arround time could be less than 1 week rclxms.gif

So please continue ur support blackberry from brightstar.

p/s been working so hard to get this result sweat.gif shoot here n there laugh.gif

will the wrnty end?
my set is brightstar set
the sticker dont hve markings
anyway to tell how old is my phone?

by the way,is it really the after sale srvice by brightar is better now?

indeed this is a good news. Thanks for the effort.

Hope u guys can find a solution for the scratches issue as well. Heard from my friend here in sabah, if the phone have scratches when u claim the warranty, they cant swap 1 to 1 the phone unless u pay for the scratches.. Now he have to wait 5 weeks for his phone to be repaired in singapore.

actually its not scratches issue here.

The issue is, brightstar cant open the phone by themself,RIM not allow them to do that so.

By replacing new buffer set to customer,brightstar had to take the risk.

The risk is, let say customer's phone went to water which is make the warranty void, and brightstar replaced for customer, after send to RIM,brightstar wont get any replacement from RIM because the phone warranty is void.

this cases has been happened more than 30times,brightstar cant bear the risk and cost anymore,thus they only swap for those phone which still new.

At first i thought brightstar have the authority to open the set for inspection doh.gif
