Unity interface is the default interface in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. However, if you don't like the dock, animations and the interface as a whole, you can just disable the Ubuntu Unity Compiz Plugin and Unity Interface will be gone. To do that, install Advanced Desktop Effect Settings from Software Center (or compizconfig-settings-manager from Synaptic or apt-get command) and then launch it by pressing Alt+F2 and typing in ccsm.

Logout and type in(or select) your username and in the bottom panel, select “Ubuntu Classic Desktop” instead of “Ubuntu Desktop Edition”. When you login next time, the same will be selected by default.

To re-enable Unity interface, just select “Ubuntu Desktop Edition” during login.

This is a close you can get to have a similar OS to OSX. Though more learn-oriented.
I'd wait for Natty to be released officially though, still rocking Maverick.

yeahh rite, My natty is still not final yet... ohhh it's includes on the update because i'm choosing normal release update over there including the important updates and the maverick released became out of date already on my repository. I have to disabled the source ppa btw to avoid error when apt- get update...

Gonna use another image hosting later, coz my broadband connection so slow to load everything. So i have to use the recognized one...

Hey guys i am having this problem.My ram usage keep stacking up as in when i first boot up my pc,ram usage will be around 30-40% which is normal...then when i leave my pc on for 1 or 2 day,my ram usage will increase up to 75-90%!

I am using Omnimo 3.1 for ur information.

same problem here when using omnimo 3.1...it keep stuck although no app running..

does it related from that skin???

I have no idea.I think it's from the Omnimo skin coz i've been using rainmeter for quite a while and this problem has never exist before.Perhaps Chyan can answer us since he's using Omnimo also

Hmm Im suspecting Omnimo 3 too , coz normally my ram usage is only 20~30 , now bcome 60 ~ without anything running !

But when i check ram usage , Rainmeter only uses 11MB

That is the problem.Unknown ram usage.I check through all the processes running and i still cannot brain where did the 40-60% ram usage gone to.I google-ed around and some says that because of the ram and cpu meter thing.The meter r displaying the ram/cpu usage graph,therefore they have to keep saving and displaying,repeatedly thus consuming more and more ram.

But i disabled them still no prevail.Hmm...i hope somebody can come out with the solutions.

There's something wrong with my Weather in Simple Sentence.It says

"It's around 30 degrees in the land of Malaysia and the sky seems to be raining lightly.with Thunder"

add another value to ur skin, edit skin,
then find for the tag [MeasureDesc],
find for the part with subsitute, add this value in it. "Light Rain Shower With Thunder":"to be showering lightly with lightning overhead."
the words in blue can be changed to ur liking.
rmb to put commas between values.
and refresh ur skin after saving it

what theme was that and what os ? freaking COOL

It's Linux, like cocooh said above. If you want additional details;
Distro = GRML Sid daily snapshot image.
Window Manager = ScrotWM
Themes = Terminal configs and colour-scheme all by me.

You mean the cursor style, or the attributes (like tap-click, sensitivity, etc)?

I usually just use "update-alternatives" and add synclient variables
to my autostart.sh. I don't really have much problems with default mouse behavior.
