eh, besides omnimo and the other skins the other users are using, not many cool rainmeter skins around (unless you're a weaboo)... ah well, may decide to work on one soon enough

for those who haven't heard of this app before, i stumbled upon a gem called Newgen (based off Mosaic) that brings the Windows 8 Metro UI to Windows 7 (requires .NET 4.0 framework), and I must say, I like it. A shame that there aren't that many widgets yet.
Just like Windows 8, you can pane the view from left to right, so you can add as many tiles as you want (you can pin programs that you use frequently or sites that you frequent to tiles as well, just as I've done) ![]() ![]() The black bar on both sides are also there ![]() ![]() Clicking on tiles such as Pictures or Videos will bring you to a new screen, for example, this is what is under Videos for me, and you can watch the videos there too (provided that windows media player can play it) ![]() ![]() There's a screen for searching through files and folders ![]() And for facepalm/twitter addicts, there's a widget that allows them to keep track of updates such as below ![]() This post has been edited by getsu: Oct 18 2011, 10:55 PM |
