Seeing that also, how can Nani still be able get up and sprint to the front of referee and when knowing Carra will not get a red card then suddenly fall back down again??Oscar winner Nani.... whistling.gif

It's called adrenaline. For a short moment Nani was in shock, he was angered, then after that the excruciating pain went throught the body, hence the fall. Dumb jock.

QUOTE(BoltonMan @ Mar 7 2011, 02:02 PM)
actually not short on wingers, but short of goal scoring midfielders ... fletcher and carrick must start to score goals

it just a big blow to fergie ... carragher now is other team's hero ...
*
but definitely we're short on wingers. surely our CM never known for their goal scoring feat. Scholes rarely score nowdays too. surely midfielders main objective was too create chances and space for forwards as well as protecting the back four. scoring would be a bonus for midfielders.

haha, to some Carra is a hero. well, i do respect his courage to apologize because of that tackle he made. not all players does that.

QUOTE(tgmape @ Mar 7 2011, 02:33 PM)
it is a very rare occasion that player can do that, most player cannot do that. well, nani does a reputation to uphold smile.gif
*
adrenalin rush. it is normal. usually ruled by emotion. Nani was obviously angry with that challenge that enable him to stand up until he felt the pain. surely his reaction left some of us in awe after seeing his injury.

out of curiosity - have Man Utd ever lost 3 in a trot before, regardless of league game, UCL or cup matches??

Haha, what to do. Every football fan is fickle-minded. Hypocrites of the highest order. The same thing that we're complaining about and being laughed off as an excuse by rivals, will be the same thing they'll be whining about in a matter of days. ( recent example, ref for arse v sun)

No two ways about,we're all the same. The only difference is the degree of it smile.gif

I think it's not the first time Carragher made tackle like that in Premiership, and yet didn't get the correct punishment. This trend will only stop the skillful players who like to dribble to stop joining the BPL for the sake of their legs! shakehead.gif

What I can say. Last night is a good game. Unbiased. Yes, I feel really disappointed for this losing, and trolled by others fan later on at FB and Twitter. However, I still raised my hand to the air when Chicarito scored our consolation goal, watched and laughed by table behind me at AC last night.

I get to the office this morning, having breakfast with Pools fan. We talk on unbiased side, and he also feels that Carra shud get a red last night. Same goes to Rafael. Nani might have real pain there. And others might never see it, they said Nani is acting but for us, we got more pain on losing another brilliant winger.

I never stop supporting United. Today is my emotional day. sigh. wink.gif

you just watch premier league mate?this is BPL.where tackles are flying everywhere and you still can be called as a fighter.shawcross kicked ramsey's leg and the next day you know capello picked him for england squad.barton, forever a thug.but newcastle fans think he's the fighter.de jong broke ben arfa's leg and citeh's fans called him the enforcer.

those who insist that Nani was acting even after seeing how deep/big the gash on his leg was... are people who are not sportsmen, or have been lucky enough not to get injured before.

For the first 20-30 secs you get a deep slash/cut, you won't feel much cuz your body is in shock.

It was a bad challenge worthy of a red and it looked a bad gash as well. I need to however state that I've watched Carra play since he was an 18 year old and I can't even remember him intentionally setting out to hurt a fellow professional, or for that matter causing serious injury to one. He has himself had his leg broken by Lucas Neil some years back and although I do not know him personally, I've watched and read about him over the years. If you think that Gary Neville is a uber manc, then Carra is Liverpool's equivalent. If anyone can find evidence (not pansy shirt tugging incidents of course. all defenders do this) to suggest that Carra is a thug, then please let me know and I'll eat humble pie. He plays hard, but he also plays fair.

My 2 cents.

i'm not sure he's a thug. yeah sometimes a player can get carried away but i never seen him hurt other player intentionally. i don't know if we can label mistimed challenge as intentional.

win and lose is part of parcel of football. i respect those fans who kept on being with us no matter how poor we've been. surely we will feel dissapointed and angry but we just have to move on and hoping SAF will do his best to win next game.

yeah. those challenges worthy of red card. Even maxi might get a red card too but to lose Nani at this time of season is quite a let down. he's been brilliant for us.
