Ill join in :
Second half v Chelsea Fletcher didnt look very good. Quite a few misplaced crosses and passes. I feel he's been trying too hard lately to do Scholes-esque like passes, not good for his game.

QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Mar 4 2011, 12:38 AM) actually that would describe how Carrick is. Carrick was well known for long bomb passes even before he joined us. But thats not Fletchers game. I always cringe when i see him attempt it. But his defensive play always makes up for any offensive shortcomingi have been very very frustrated with his performances whenever he starts. so yes his % of passes is high, but its all short passes. not long passes. not like the ones how he used to do. |

QUOTE(FieryAeon @ Mar 4 2011, 12:12 PM) If only we went for Ozil earlier in the summer, I think he only went out for like 10+million GBP or Euros to Real Madrid? That was a real bargain IMO. I too prefer schweinsteiger and im 100% positive that SAF has the money to spend. The only problem is that i think Bayern will probably want at least 40 mil for him. On top of that, the German league is on the up now and he may even want to stay in germany.Personally I prefer Sweinsteiger to Sneijder. But the problem with German players is not so much so that they can cope or not, rather it is whether they WANT to leave or not. Especially when Sweinsteiger is in a club like Bayern Munich, a club that rarely sells their best players. We missed out on Ozil who has turned into a very good player but i think there was a point right after the WC when he himself said that he wants to play for RMad. Eventhough Sneijder is class,he's mainly an AM and if we were to accommodate him in our team,we would have to sacrifice one of the defensive midfielders or a winger. Besides, the fella has turned us down a few times already.. |

Great to see our midfielders signing extensions. As nice as it is to see them doing it,we also need to sign another new CM.
Very pleased about Fletch and Carrick extending their contracts, and now only one more guy needs to do it. The legendddddddd Scholesy! |

Thats the confirmed jersey for next season...? Sighhhh. Ive been waiting for the past 2-3 years for a nice model to buy and ive yet to be blown away with my first impressions of the new jerseys. It looks sooo plain. To me,the best looking jersey we've had in the past 3-4 years was the white and blue away AIG jersey. I really love that one. Asked my gf to find it in UK last year, she said the MU Megastore worker told her that they dont have that one anymore

QUOTE(verbatim @ Mar 6 2011, 01:41 AM) Just sharing a quote from somewhere, it was a reply to an Arsenal fan by a Liverpool fan.. It really is true, nobody is denying it. Sorry to go back to the same issue again but it was 3 games in a row against Chel for us,and MU v Che is a huge game,so it really is disappointing when we get screwed 3 times in a row. But of course certain things go our way too."Liverpool were the same in the 80's. They had decisions go their way. It happens around big clubs. Arsenal, i am sure have had decisions go their way during the invincibles. It happens but to flag one team's misfortune as consistency and then saying the refs are cr@p when it happens to your team is two faced" What he said is very true... Consistency is very important, and that is all we want from the refs. |

QUOTE(verbatim @ Mar 6 2011, 01:45 AM) The thing i really hate about it is how they don't even mention, let alone acknowledge their mistakes. In every other job, when you perform badly, your duty would be to apologize or at least admit the mistake, but the refs here act like kings! |

We didn't deserve to win that match and ill give credit where its due. Liverpool played very well.It was almost as if they were playing for their lives! They were first to every ball, running around the whole pitch, chasing everything.
All 3 goals could've so easily been avoided. Its clear how much we need Vidic and also Nani (despite the first half). If there's anything,i would say ; When things aren't going your way, really nothing works. So many 50-50 balls were won by pool,so many bounces dropped in their favour. Anyway,no excuses. Makeshift defence or not,we should be playing much better than that. I hope we don't look back at this period and wonder 'what if' if we don't win the title. Congrats to pool, they played with hunger and deserved to win. |

QUOTE(tgmape @ Mar 7 2011, 03:31 PM) Haha, what to do. Every football fan is fickle-minded. Hypocrites of the highest order. The same thing that we're complaining about and being laughed off as an excuse by rivals, will be the same thing they'll be whining about in a matter of days. ( recent example, ref for arse v sun)No two ways about,we're all the same. The only difference is the degree of it |

QUOTE(Reon @ Mar 7 2011, 03:47 PM) I think it's not the first time Carragher made tackle like that in Premiership, and yet didn't get the correct punishment. This trend will only stop the skillful players who like to dribble to stop joining the BPL for the sake of their legs! Glorified thug.Always been that way. But at least he apologized. |

QUOTE(FieryAeon @ Mar 7 2011, 04:39 PM) To be honest, the gash itself isn't that big an injury. Regardless, it's one that will put Nani out for at least 2-3 weeks, till it fully feels. Yeah,i agree. And again ill say it,credit to pool for playing very well, they deserved the win.Regardless of what some may say, of Carragher not being one to go out to hurt someone, it doesn't remove the fact that the tackle was dangerous and should rightly warrant a red card. But seriously, why talk about it now? The game's done and dusted. Let's hope that Park and Valencia will be available soon. The most important thing for us now is,like you said,to get Park and Valencia, and Vidic back,ASAP! I also hope Ando won't be out for too long. There are only a few more games left to the season and its really the worst possible time for this injuries. Happened last year,i hope it wont happen again this year. |

QUOTE(kamkamparadise @ Mar 7 2011, 05:22 PM) i feel u bro. i'm at first quite angry too but when Phil Down brandished yellow, i was like, thinking maybe he's being biased. but then again, during rafael challenge on Lucas, i was like "oh shit, confirm red la this fella" but it turns out Phil dowd only give yellow. i guess he being fair. he could have send off Carragher and Rafael. Yeah bro,but the only reason the Rafael tackle happened was because they were pissed that Carra didnt get a red. If he was sent off,i can assure you 100% that tackle wouldnt have happened.we need all back. our depth being tested now. we've limited source for winger with only Giggs fit to play. And i really hope Vidic and Rio return soon. their presence at the back are vital in this time of season. I agree with you,but i feel Vidic is probably the MOST important. All 3 goals would've been avoided if Vidic was playing yesterday,no doubt about it. They may have scored using other methods, but those 3 particular tap ins would have been stopped by Vidic. |

Vidic is the best Central Defender in the world. He has proven it time and time again over the course of this season and last. I challenge you to find a better center back than Vidic. He's very consistent, incredibly strong, wins almost every aerial challenge, and even scores. People always say Rio is the brainy one and Vidic the brawny one but i actually think Vidic has both the mental prowess and is a monster physically. It was a little silly for him to get sent off against Chelsea though, but otherwise,i would say he is easily the best Center Back in the world.
