Ed - 30mm or 35mm better ? Or perhaps 85mm?

Feel like hauling and testing a prime now.

Already spent time reading Albert's review on the 30mm. Awesome lol.

U should self poison with 35mm like eat empty ball did yesterday....haha....yesterday can't sleep...to excited

The day I test you 30mm f2.8 cool part is can autofocus very close but when view the pic at pc only 100% sharp is more then 200% no sharp anymore. But for sp90 can view 250% still clear sp90 awesome !!!

Ahpingko not to pour cold water on you but most, if not all f2.8 lenses, under above average lighting conditions, with an averagely accurately calibrated body, usually have very sharp centers.

And unless you blow ur f2.8 shots to full resolution, it will appear to be sharp across the plane of focus( provided ur shots meet the conditions above).

My noob 2 cents. 

My statement applies to the good lenses only. Those slr magic lenses do not count.

it is a M39 rangefinder lens...  the optics are superb....  i'm using a M39-M42 ring to mount it on my M42 adapter....
u r right about the infinity....  the infinity now focus @ around 5 meters but once stop down to f11 u'll get infinity

ieR : Yes. Agreed with you that usually one light is enough. 2 lights and you can cover most things. 3 lights and you can get very creative.

One tip for those of you shooting outdoors and have at least one external flash and a body with a pop-up flash:

You can easily maintain details in the sky by just metering for the sky and then lighting up you subject via wireless flash. You can get dramatic lighting effects too!

ahpingko: what u did is actually already wayy over the limit. you have to know the limit before u start shooting.

Shootkk, for this (shooting outdoors with wireless flash) do u think it's better to on the DRO or off it? 

Either that or your flash hot shoe got problem. Then u might have to change the whole top part which could cost few hundred

if really sync issue, then ur circuit board inside the flash has to change, it will take some time to ship a unit from sg/hk.

wait, even u blast at 1/1, if u shoot at shutter 1/2000, the flash has to blast around 8 times... so what happen is, 1/1 divide by 8, u get around 1/8 power fired at 1/2000 sync speed. so what u actually is getting is 1/8 at 8 burst at 1/2000 sec!

also, the distance of flash to subject affect the amount of light that reach your subject.... (flash fallout) so, further your flash, the weaker the light~ nearer your flash, more light u get.

ahpingko: When you get your flash fixed you can leave your tripod at home when shooting macro!

most macro lenses would be able to work well up to macimum of F16.0. Above that, diffraction will start showing and the photos will become soft. Bob Atkins wrote a rather technical explanation (with photos) on diffraction here:

you already have sharp pic mah see the eye so sharp what F u using? for me F2.8 until F14 only haha. but you pic # is no sharp shake laio right flower is the most easy to take
