ahpingko: To be honest, at your skill level, RM100 is a bit cheap. You can ask for more.

Bouncing. Still got shadows.

Without diffuser = less shadow, But face and body alot of shadow.
With diffuser = Face and body less shadow, Background got shadow.

ahpingko: The stress is a good thing.

Why?

The couple feels more serious, because they have paid for it, and so they do not waste your time by coming in say, an old shirt and no makeup. You also won't feel so inspired to shoot them if they don't look good on camera.

If they don't pay, they think, "aiyah nevermind lah if the pictures not nice, we go find another person, we didn't pay much/we didn't pay anything. Free also nevermind, if the fella Photoshop nicely then okay already, no need to look nice for the camera."

If they don't pay you enough, you think, "aiyah, pay so little, I also cincai lah."

Paying (enough) means that both sides take this photoshoot seriously.

However, if you've never shot a particular genre before, you can offer to shoot for free. Otherwise you charge as you like, really. A lot of photographers forget to charge for the risk factor (Banzai_san asked about shooting in a remote village for a few days before).

Risk

Let's say you are a full-time photographer. If I paid you RM800 to shoot in a rollercoaster that is suspended over a beach, and the camera and flash falls out, how are you going to continue to be a photographer? You cannot take any more jobs until you get enough money to buy another camera/flash/lens. And you cannot get more money because you don't have a camera!

Yup. Have you seen the F58AM's bounce card? That size is already enough. Point the flash head upwards when there's a ceiling. No ceiling then where to bounce the light wor...

Diffuser will come in handy when there is no ceiling or other surface to bounce light from but when I am faced with that situation I will use a blank, white A4 paper and fold it into half and strap that to my F42's flash head. Shot one wedding that way.

what i learnt from my uncle is this way :

set your desire aperture and shutter speed eg: f5.6 1/60
after that you just play with the flash power and ISO

i've tried this under controlled lighting eg: the lighting is not drastically changed and the ceiling is the same height in that place...

i mentioned this few page back (or was it last version thread) that aperture bigger then F4, the ambient light can easily overwrite the flash white.

gel ur flash and use appropriate WB, sure ur pic come out nice.

sorry ah, i lack of sleep, so i read thing is blurry, so i try answer with proper writing also.

to gain BG light, boost iso is the best way. but if its still dark at iso1600, then ur background is really DARK even for 3200, all u end up seeing is noise.

sometime by adjusting the right angle of the bounce can help brighten up properly the whole pic

the gel is cheap only. but i lately busy not time make extra cards, once i free i make some bring KL sell, 1pcs rm5 RM2 + tutor (need break even my flight expenses )

when u have a FLASH running, the AWB will turn to FlashWB, which is at 5500k, so u have to go inside and change it to custom WB and set to the proper (to your liking) temperature. u might like it to have more ambient feel then pure white.

you're using it for macro right? its having a small DOF, so its best if u use MF for it

All macro lens AF is hard to focus one why 30mm macro will get infinity? that mean when u 1:1 aperture cannot go F2.8?

F2.8 with flash also want set ISO 800 so high meh...

Me thinks the flash too close to your face 

Just a guess,

#1 dark because: Flash = only light source, bouncing from ceiling, but model's face looking downwards?
