applanet's prob.. a lot people are having errors while using applanet..

where else to download apps?

Someone reported to the host that the applanet is hosting pirated apps. So it got shut down.

In darky's 9.3 now...how could i fix the increasing ringtone? from my research it say phone need to deodexed, so if i just flash darkys rom does it mean deodexed?
darky 9.3 firmware is XWJS5 right? does it mean i need to find the fix Phone.apk which is specific for XWJS5?

hi..anyone with maxis package..how to buy apps from market..must use credit card only? cannot deduct from the bill?

yep, it's deodexed. regarding the ringtone prob, no idea
hmm, so far bought apps using credit card only through google checkout. i don't see any option to use maxis credit to buy them

..i dont have credit card..

When I was on Doc or Darky's Rom, while using the stock browser,
it has the chequered box effect while zooming in and out.

Now, with Simple Galaxy Rom, the stock browser doesn't have this problem.

Not sure why...hmm

Guys, just want to ask...does the SGS still have GPS problem or is it fixed in latest updates? Can share ur GPS experience with the SGS?

It's generally quicker in terms of UI navigation. I think battery life is slightly improved compared to Darky 9.3 (maybe due to JPE modem). The theme is quite attractive also, very bluish compared to blackish/greenish of Darky. I've found no bugs or problems yet, am likely to stick with SweetHoney until actual 2.3.x is stable for the SGS.

The GPS issue has never been explicitly addressed by Samsung. Samsung never admitted any problem with GPS for our international GT-i9000 anyway.

GPS is temperamental, it usually works but at times, it just didn't work ideally. When it doesn't work ideally, the accuracy is fairly poor, causing navigation system to drift to nearby roads.

An app called "GPS aids" which should assist the GPS getting location fix, does help my device a lot. I don't have to wait at roadside for GPS fix anymore.

wat is increasing ringtone?

darky 9.3 drain my battery insanely fast..
30minutes after fully charged + fresh reboot drained me 10%...zzzz
50% gone within 6 hours..wtf

is wifi on? super hugeeeeeeeeeee battery drain with wifi on for me -.-

wifi is on at night or when i was slping...it drain me 20% last night
guess i need to reflash with wipe version?>

i did a wipe version too. i have battery drain only when wifi is on. 7% drain in 1 hour, somemore on idle =.=

hope charging the phone few times will calibrate the battery back to normal

how about when u on 3g?
