What mobo do u use? Just upgrade lor. PD 4.8GHz just the same as stock E6600. If ur mobo cant support C2D then it cant be helped.

PD 4.8?...hehehe..typo error oo..tongue.gif...oh ya..wanna ask..i oc my PD 2.66 to 3.0 by increasing the fsb to 150Mhz..then i check my vcore with everest, it show fluctuation between 1.344 to 1.392..with 1.35 is the default vcore..so izzit ok?

asus p5k of course can support..but hehe..use this proc oredi make my vista run smoothly..
for ur question.. this might help u.. why dont u set the vcore to 1.4v..now the highers i get is bout 3.3 wif 1.4 ..but last night i try set higher than 1.4v..can go 3.7 on air..but still curious..will it die next month..hehe

hmm..changing the vcore is a lot of risk, coz u have to consider ur psu also..and also the temp..

for me..if ur mobo can support dual channel then better take 2 stick = 1gb...

If ur buying DDR2 straight away go for 2GB, cheap already. Furthermore 1GB module has better value for the future(if u want to throw it to garage sale).

some question to ask after reading those thread, for abit motherboard kn8 ultra is overclocking available with nforce software? as i read through i find that overclocking using software is available as well, so just wants to find out whether it can be used, anyone using the same system with me, whats the spec u get for ur system? can share

Lol. I don't think there is somebody overclocking as a profession. Most do it as a hobby though some are extreme overclockers.

You are really willing to pay for helping you overclock your rig??? shocking.gif

Depends on what you are using your rig for.

Anyway, you could probably learn how to overclock by yourself.

Look at my sig below titled "OC in windows". It'll get you started.

BTW, you should refer to the 1st page of "fundamentals of overclocking" for further references. smile.gif

I think all overclockers do it for hobby and maybe for extreme sifus like shamino from Vr-Zone he maybe get side income by promoting enthusiast hardware to public.
