well, i like raw jeans. i think its ethical to the environment cuz it uses less water. i hope i can save enough to get one good fitting raw jeans so that it can sorta be like my diary. what happens in my life is put into the creases and fades of the denim. and i don't mind how long that would take. why rush the fades??? let it come out naturally.

Are the adidas originals raw selvedge denims worth it?

Saw some at KLCC, was impressed but wondering anyone here can give their opinions.

Saw them last months too. never thought adidas produces jeans as well. but based on the quality, and price, levis is more worth in my opinion.

The only levi's i saw for selvedge but not raw denims were about RM999. Only saw them at The Gardens Levi's store.

The adidas were raw selvedge denims were about RM603 before 10% discount.

Since I'm interested to get my first raw and selvedge denims, should I just save up more to get a better brand of jeans?

Wow, with that price range, you could already get the premium selvedge japanese brand denim bro. Japanese make the best denim

read a few pages up ... i would not recommend that you go for adidas as your first raw and selvedge jeans. they are a sports manufacturer anyway.

for almost the same price , you can get the Japan Blue X Momotaro or Naked & Famous

go for the selvage nudies for some fancy looking jeans
or apc if you love the simple look, but high quality,
if got budget go for iron heart

I thank (or curse ) this thread and Kinokuniya's japanese section for poisoning me into raw and selvedge denims.

and yes, them japanese denims have been my top priority.

I've been looking high and low to get momotaro here. can you let me know where to get them in Malaysia or Singapore?

Need to lurk more here in Lyn if any of guys are selling some.

nudies and APC are among the best i reckon for denims not from Japan.

Momotaro jeans is still my top of the list besides sugar cane.

what's the range for those premium denim? between RM500 - RM1k? any below RM500 you guys recommend?

below 500 you might wanna take a look also at one of the indonesian finest jeans brand, popular in canada, US
its petersaysdenim their finest line of jeans cost around RM500-RM700 using finest japan denim
their normal range cost around RM200-RM300 only,
they have this single line batch jeans that has a unique rasta selvage, really drooling

Indonesia is being really serious about jeans, some brand are using high quality japanese, indian to zimbabwean cotton for production
thats one reason self edge and iron heart collaborate a special edition jeans with an indonesian retailer to produce one limited edition jeans


hi btw regarding the authentic vs fake nudies i own before, ive got an email from the jeans designer herself, Maria Erixsson, she states that it is a very old batch production of the jeans, very different from todays batch,

I've just found out about Notherndenim from his blog yesterday. very informative.

As for petersaysdenim, i believe he has good contacts with local hardcore bands playing here in Malaysia. will check it out soon.

But man, those Momotaro going to battle stripes jeans is really something. I'm eyeing that as my first raw denim selvedge.
