all big bro, got a noob question here...
thinking to get a set of audio system + speakers for my golf...
but my budget only RM2k....enough?
any recommendation?

just took my polo today....was told by my dealer that if i change the cd player the whole car warranty, not only the player will be lost....scary. but enjoying my car now..pepper gray..

bro you know roughly how much they'll charge for installation?

Was told by SA differently. He said only the ICE section will be void. But make sure the player does not compromise the CAN BUS.

Anyway if you want to change get plug and play. Just reinstall the original player when you go for servicing.

Isn't it troublesome to reinstall the original player everytime u go servicing? Have to remove the panel and screws.

Anyone knows if there's any compatible window visors for Golf ? thinking of installing one, thks.

yup, it is messy.. tried calling the 1800 vwm line..but all out for lunch...try later

shouldn't it be reinstall back only when got problem with car rather than each servicing ?

if upgrade to rcd310 or rcd510 or rns510 or anything from vw then will be fine. wont void warranty. better look for above players cos it will fit the panel perfectly!

Added on March 18, 2011, 3:19 pmnot enough. better save the 2k for other purpose as i dont think 2k can buy u better sound than stock speakers. actually stock ice sounds okay imho. or u can consider upgrade cd player only so that your panel looks better with lcd

Quite simple really, just pull out the side cover remove the four screws and unplug the CAN connector. Plug the CAN connector back to the original HU. Should not take more than 10 min.

Anyway as I mentioned do this only IF you are afraid of voiding the ICE warranty. If you don't care then it doesn't matter.

Just now saw a modded white Polo Golf on the road. Very nicely done. Brembo brakes, rims also changed, exhaust mods too. Thinking to get one myself.

Btw, can anyone share some nicely modded Golf in Malaysia? Can't seem to find nice pictures. With bodykit picture also can.
