Yeah because the Razor kit comes with a lot of carbon fibre parts such as the front bonnet and the rear spoiler. The front bonnet alone itself is around USD$2000. Hence the high price tag for the entire kit.

Found a complete breakdown on the prices of the kit here.

If clearing duty already, then should be able to get it within this 2 weeks, depending on your location.

For all those who are asking about run in period, there is no run in period for most if not all of the new cars produced nowadays at least in the last decade.....BUT you are recommended to change your engine oil halfway before your manufacturer first scheduled service...

The VW owner manual recommended a run-in period but you are not required to change the engine oil.

Yup, not required to change the oil but actually top up the oil. Damn these turbo engines do use a lot of engine oil!

I booked my TSI Golf in January. Expecting to get and ready in mid March latest, that's what the SA told me.

The SA called and said Sorry, there is delayed in shipment and the car will only reach Malaysia end of March. And then it needs go thru Custom, inspection this n that and I will only get it end of April.

I just sold my car only, the owner took it on Monday, I was looking for buyer in Feb and found it, so I quickly sell it, thought I will have my new car in March, mana tau.. delay until end of April. Means 1 month + without car!!

Thanks to Forumers here, I called FA Wagen Glenmarie and they have 2011 stocks for Golf TSI. The good news is, it is with DRL!!!
3rd week or end of March can get car liao. I will switch to here.

FYI, the LOL SA even said if cancel deposit/booking fee of the 3k I paid, it will forfeit RM500. LOL!! I got advised, it should be full refund !! If they want to forfeit, the advisor asked me to call VGM!!
See what the punishment the SA will get ha...

Be careful of dishonest SA!!!

Which branch is this dishonest SA from? If in your booking agreement that it is clearly stated that the fee is fully refundable, you can bring it to the small claims tribunal.

To those who booked their TSI or GTI, is there any discounts offered?
Also the interest rate for the loan. I was told that it is around 2.6% and only 2010 GTI has the 0.5% interest rate for the first 3 years.

As I understand it the booking fee is fully refundable. No questions asked I believe its a policy set by VGM.

Oh yes please tell us which SC or the SA who tried to con you. I myself have some bad experiance with my SC. We must avoid such centres.

the reason behind changing the engine oil at 5 k is to remove the microscopic flakings of metals ..............from your 'running in' period....oh yes and filter too if you are a heavy footed driver.....but the filter bit is a little too much tho

correct me if I'm wrong but, VW cars do not require an oil change @ 5k. Something got to do with the engine has undergo a pre-running in at their factory.

anyway guys, does anyone know why is vwgolfclubmalaysia forum is down for a few days??

The showroom is in Wearnes Jalan Ampang.

I thought that is consider very bad, con me the following:
- date of delivery - delayed 1 month later
- not refundable full amount
- lies on the reasons of the delay

But this is worst! Earlier I said, I called FA Wagen Glenmarie that they have the color I want for Golf TSI. Earliest delivery is the 3rd week of the month, latest is 4th week of this month. But I called VGM, they said they very suprised to hear that because FA Wagen Glenmarie have very limited stock of Golf TSI and the color I want is no longer available, not even in the next shipment list. So Suprise the SA told me yes, yes we have. LOL!! Another professional CON MAN!!!

Double thumbs up to this person in charge in VGM, very friendly and efficient, help me to check both FA Wagen and Wearnes Managers and call me back immediately. After seek VGM advise, is better to hold on to current one, rather than involve in another RIDE to Holland.
