hey guys, does anyone noe how much tax we hv to pay to ship ipad 2 back from US ?? any idea bout tat?

Time to give the IPAD to the kids...and get a new IPAD 2. USD499 plus tax, i think basing on current exchange rate...it is cheaper than i buy IPAD 1 previously.

Should i get the AT&T or Verizon 3G model if I want to use Maxis Sim?

Owned the first iPad. Loved it to bits. Sold it off at the right time to make way for this model. Ahh how I love thee white karler =p

I read iMovie is only for Ipad 2 but you guys sure garageband is not compatible for Ipad 1? i did read on the net it is compatible.. guess only way to find out is when it is launched on the app store next week

I think it's because they wanna make it exclusive for newer products... Just like multi-tasking not available on iPhone 3G

It's a Marketing Gimmick since a newer device with newer hardwarwe. In order to have iMovie supported, the device must have a Camera Hardware so we can record the movie and edit directly with the device.

I heard you guys mentioned that certain software made by apple for iPad2 will not be compatible for iPad1. If that is true, then I think that would be one of the dumbest thing apple has done to date....

nothing dumbest thing since some of the iphone apps also not compatible with 2G or 3G version.

No. International warranty only apply if it is similarly available here. Unless you have friend in Apple reseller who is willing to do it for you unofficially.

suddenly itchy wanna get a 2nd hand ipad1... shud be less than 1k really hope to get garageband compatibility. looks fun
