If you browse to Samsung website, it stated like what I mentioned. |

not too sure yet.. give me 3-4 days, still installing apps from around, i'll let u know when i really use the phone as a phone+internet+games in detail when i am ready
as of yesterday, i went to sleep at 19% batt life (1am), when i woke up, it remains at 19% until after my class at 10am it drops to 18%, drops to about 16% at 2pm with little smses, and finally killed the final 14% at 4pm by playing monopoly until now |

yeah im all good sis,
i wonder my SGA can beat my previous nokia 100bucks in fall test. the poor nokia still work at its best (countless fall), even better speaker sound than SGA. No joke! before root, my SGA screen turn off in idle with wifi turn on, then need to long press power button (force shutdown). Once i tried to dial number on my SGA and it didnt go to voicemail . It seems the fon not dead, just the screen. After hard reset and root with SOC v1.7 the problem no longer exist. This post has been edited by naturally as pirated: Mar 8 2011, 05:08 PM |

it doesn't happen to all SGA since i didnt need to hardreset mine even some others in xda forum also didnt encounter this situation but it does happen to some... i used soc 1.7 too and make sure u follow every step so it wont crashed and the mini sdcard must not be inside ur phone when rooting remember that... app2sd really helps but remember not all apps comes with this option so need to choose rite by reading the info and comments for the apps...
and do make sure u restart ur phone rite after it is rooted so that superuser will take effect.. This post has been edited by fuzore: Mar 8 2011, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(cheehing @ Mar 8 2011, 05:11 PM) hard reset - restoring phone back to original state You can find it under the Setting > Privacy > Factory data reset actually no need to do hard reset, it is because my fon went dead during idle. hard reset is the 1st level to correct any error on your phone. IMHO, to unlock and be as a superuser, u need to get it done at early stage. Same like installing antivirus, u dont want to install the antivirus after u transfer/sync every files into ur freshly formatted pc right. |

QUOTE(naturally as pirated @ Mar 8 2011, 01:41 PM) Hi all, Teamviewer. this is my first android fon after using nokia 100bucks for few years, eventho i work in IT line but im not a gadget freak so-called hi-tech geek. My daily job is to monitor data by 24/7. Bought this fon at digital mall pj, download few apps from the market, setel..no worries if stuck during traffic jam oso still able to connect to my office (data center). i dont bother if the phone cant support flash, low quality in video. mp4 can play.. yesterday successfully rooted my phone using SOC v1.7 |
