Does anyone here uses any additional device such as steering lock for their vios? Mind to recommend? Also...is vios alarm system good for intrusion or should we change to other brand? Thanks to all sifu here smile.gif

changing stock alarm would simply mean cutting of wires, in which many would afraid it would void warranty

so, best solution is to get urself a pedal lock, which once lock engine cnt be started, and most importantly easy to use and wont void warranty

not saying that a steering lock isnt good, but again, after some time, we will feel lazy to lock, and where shud we keep that bulky thing?

and a good steering lock would cost up to 3xx such as stoplock sad.gif

mine situation was: when i go down to bank, oh ya, the 2 times it alerted, i was infront of public bank, my car alarm alerted, i thought i didnt lock the door carefully, but it is not, i wonder why. it only happened 2 times while i go to public bank..
it is really weird, i don know why. but vios alarm have auto lock function if i didnt lock or open the door at specify time, right?

Why you need so many locks?

I don't use any lock. If they(expert) want to steal your car, whatever locks also no use unless you have security system like Jaguar, Lexus, BMW, etc.

Correct me if I am wrong.

this is what i think, if they need to spend more time to steal a car,
maybe they will quit to do so. rclxms.gif

i will send my car for 1st service tomorrow,
will try to ask them whether can solve the problem or not.

yesterday i park my vios beside my neighbour's car: vios too,
when i want to open my back boot by alarm controller,
my neighbour's car alarm alerted,
is it because of alarm frequency crash?

think of it as your size 8 feet wearing say... size 12 shoes... any difference?

bigger rims = wider tyres = more road contact = more grip = more friction = "heavy" feeling, correct me if i'm wrong

You are missing the main point: more fc = more $$ spent

and

you car will become less responsive. You need to pedal a bit more to move your car.

Overall, 17" rim is not ideal if you want to save petrol money for monthly expenses.
