Hi guys, I have a VIOS NCP42 (2007 G Spec).

What are differences between NCP42 and NCP92 (2007-current)?

Anyone have come across this stupid sound, mine turn to the left n can hear some woh woh sound, thought is the brake sound but its not, any vios owner have come across this weird sound please enlighten.
*
It might be bearing problem..

If you can hear woh woh sound especially when you drive in straight road, it should be bearing problem.

I faced and solved such problem 2 months ago. Repair costs me RM200 when I was at my hometown (Kluang, Johor). Repair fee in KL should be higher.

TS, kindly add me into owner list. 2007 G Spec

so cheap???? front or rear???
i changed my '05 Vios rear bearing b4... u need to change to whole hub, so it cost me about RM250 already for the parts...
*
Front (right).. They changed bearing only. Changing a bearing needs a lot of works.

bro, when i do u turn, there got some tuk tuk tuk sound, isit because of bearing too?or driveshaft?

If you hear loud "tuk tuk tuk" sound especially when you drive across a hump and bad condition road, it should be absorber problem. It might be driveshaft problem too. This problem happened in my Nissan car almost half year ago which costs me around RM800 (workshop is located in Subang Jaya).

mine also hear "tuk tuk tuk" sound when drive across hump and bad condition road, even in straight line. but i just changed my absorber and spring(koni + eibach)?
could it be that the absorber not fitted correctly?
*
Your situation is same with my Nissan car. It might be absorber problem.

I cannot give any assumption as I am not from automobile mechanical background. You should go to several workshops in Subang Jaya and Klang area to check your car.

hi guys

i own a toyota vios too! e spec, nice car!

i would like to ask you guys problem that i encounter and need to check with you guys before i went to SC

1. wind noise. it's noticeable now since this car had clocked 13k+ km.. may i know what's the causing the issue and how to persuade SC to change part to overcome this situation?

2. aircond not cold enough. at first i thought this is due to long term of parking under direct sunlight, but then when i drive one of my friend's myvi, found out that his aircond is super cold! maybe i need to topup aircond gas?
*
Mine is G spec. Drive to uni everyday. smile.gif

I face exactly same problems as you mentioned above.

1. wind noise is noticeable especially I drive above 100km/h. I have no idea to reduce wind noise. Maybe type of tyre?

2. aircond is not cold enough compared to national car - I think most of vios owners face this problem because this type of car is build for better FC.

I pumped RON97 petrol 2 days ago. I can feel significant power gained in RON97 compared to RON95. However, it's more expensive IMO, I might change to RON95

I don't think we can solve the wind noise issue, I install sound proof  material in KL Auto. I can only said significantly reduce but can't remove it.

RON 97 will give more power and reduce engine noise but too expensive for me, I am looking for other alternative to reduce engine noise,

Any idea ?
*
Some VIOS owners in this club claim that they have better FC in RON97. It doesn't work in my car. sweat.gif

Hi buddy, my car alarm wakes me up in this morning. The alarm alert happened 3 times in the morning. It is very annoying.

Another: The alarm "beep" for 2 times when we lock door via remote control. Sometimes, it "beep" more than 4 times.

I have no idea about it.

Does anyone face the same problem? (VIOS 07' G Spec)

i just installed a pedal lock and buy a cheap steering lock(around RM70), my dad asked me y need so many locks, haha..
*
Why you need so many locks?

I don't use any lock. If they(expert) want to steal your car, whatever locks also no use unless you have security system like Jaguar, Lexus, BMW, etc.

Correct me if I am wrong.

think of it as your size 8 feet wearing say... size 12 shoes... any difference?

bigger rims = wider tyres = more road contact = more grip = more friction = "heavy" feeling, correct me if i'm wrong
*
You are missing the main point: more fc = more $$ spent

and

you car will become less responsive. You need to pedal a bit more to move your car.

Overall, 17" rim is not ideal if you want to save petrol money for monthly expenses.

I don't think he will add you into the list. He is currently busy with HTC Incredible S and Wildlife thread.

I told him twice to add me into the list. But, I still cannot find my name in the list. hmm.gif I drive a 2007 G Spec to uni everyday.

Hi guy, my car alarm alerts for 5 days subsequently since last Friday (every morning). It is weird because my car alarm always alert in the morning (around 10:00am). Does it have timer? Does anyone face this problem?

Hi Vios members, PLEASE see this.

Bad and inactive thread , Good thread and best thread

Our thread (VIOS) is lack of much information compared to other threads (Forte, Civic, etc). Our thread seems like dying soon. Thanks to irresponsible thread starter.

Every thread starter must make sure that he/she can make their thread successfully, INFORMATIVE and interesting. If you cannot do it, please leave this job to other potential VIOS owner. HAIZZZZZZ......

TS, no offence, please think about it.

hi alvin

i guess it's ignorant to simply blame an individual over this kind of thing

if you think this thread is lack of info, then you should add. the same with me too. everyone should done their part. not only thread starter.

you can always contribute and be a good forummer by pm thread starter and discuss on how to make things more interesting, that way is how we tackle issues positively rather than shooting blanks.
*
I apologize as my opinion was rather aggressive and offensive. I am just hoping this thread will become better, interesting, and informative. Don't you?

Eg: Forte Club TS organizes event and activity. The TS creates Facebook Malaysian Forte Club.

TS doesn't visit and update this thread for quite a long time. Is he a responsible thread starter? Ask yourself sincerely please. We cannot simply open a thread and leave it there, hoping other vios owners to tell you to update latest news and things.

Hi leechers, do you see the links above? Please go and check their threads please. Those responsible TS(s) put their hard work and soul in it. Can you check Desire HD Thread? The TS works hard to gather all information available and categorize them in a systematic way. Their threads are getting interesting and improving over time. Please don't shot me as I want to voice my opinion. Thank you. smile.gif

Hi buddy, I face 2 problems:

1. My car alarm triggers frequently. It alarms a few times every morning (these few days). Our car beeps one time (unlocked) and twice (locked). However, my car alarm beeps 4-5 times when locked.

2. In the afternoon, I notice that small amount of water flows from my car (front left side near tyre). Is it normal?
