I've found another link. The cd changer port can be trick to support external media drive.  Since vios cd changer port are 12 pin port, it might work after all.

All right guys, here is what i manage to get from the supplier... he is willing to loan one unit to me for testing purpose. Who wanna be the lab rat for this ? I am from KL, if interested then i ask him to make order for one unit for testing. Tentative should be around 1week to 2week.

Below is the harness from CD changer port to AUX in.

Tentative price would be Rm130, bulk buy i discussed with supplier can go down till RM120. Hope that it really works for Malaysia Vios.
*
not tested before right? smile.gif

if this works... most probably the others with USB/AUX/SD card can work as well...

Popopi, Kuman, Kenji, are you all going to buy the USB, AUX, SD Card Digital Music Changer? I feel like ordering now la... Don't know can get better shipping cost if we Bulk Order or not.

I have check, the delivery cost still maintain at USD 17.99 no matter you buy 1unit or 4unit.
*
found average price for that device is around USD120... plus shipping should be around RM440 doh.gif

i called up toyota stockist, our G spec player cost less than RM300 doh.gif

for RM400, might as well just change player doh.gif

China and Thailand Vios tested before and is working. Just that Malaysia Vios didnt test before.

ya since they run on the same cd changer port, the usb/aux/sd will work but that one is abit pricey. I asked supplier and he told me he got that too but too pricey so i discard that.

So far from supplier i see there is two types for a more budget approach.

cd changer port <----> Aux
or
cd changer port<-----> Iphone plug
*
well... if my DIY cannot work.. then need to fallback to your item smile.gif

what's the difference between iphone plug and AUX?

After spending 2 days with my car... hmmm~~~

The like:-
1. awesome steering lightness.

the bad:-
1. finishing touches is not so good. damn~~~ not really properly aligned.. hahahahaha..... I think i expect abit too much from the vios.
2. steering positioning abit far. or is it my leg too long? lol~
3. the remote abit not that sensitive. press and release only the beep come out.
4. spot light, not so bright.... maybe i expect too much also. lol~
5. 110km/h @ 2.75k rpm.... 100km/h @ 2.5k rpm
6. somehow GPS signal not really receiving... T_T!. maybe my nokia gps antenna too short? or is it vkool 55 tinted too thick?

more to come. nyek nyek~~~
*
steering too light for my liking... not much feel when driving yawn.gif

Full slot on that day, the car doesn't feel float. Engine noise quite significant. That's why dare not to pay anymore and let the EVO passed.
*
you're not on 185 profile tyres aren't you?
cos i feel "floaty" on stock tyres... having a few bars helps a lot

Congrats Kuman for the new Vios.  thumbup.gif

Here comes a question
This is my 3rd tank of petrol.

Something want to ask.. about the fuel indicator.
8bars.... top till full is at 8...

so i driving for quite some km... and the bar dropping nicely.
question is... when hitting 2 bar left ....
drive drive abit.. just jump to 1 bar left.. and it started blinking... OMG!!!

so go fuel up.. and found out that only 36liter pump in. so if the 42liter tank is accurate.. i should have 6 liter left..

Question 1:-
Is it normal that when it hit 1 bar... the bar will start blinking??? or should stay at 1 bar for some km before start blinking?

Question 2:-
Does the Vios have a empty fuel indicator/light? is like when u low on fuel there will be a fuel light showing on the dash. (i mean other then the blinking bar)

Question 3:-
Where to get the user manual of toyota Vios. it is not provided by toyota.  mad.gif

Please advice.
*
last bar definitely will blink... go about 20-30km it will blink faster tongue.gif

usually i'll drive another 50km when the last bar starts blinking... but when pump usually won't go more than 37l doh.gif

no manual... you can search for yaris manual on the net though... but maybe different

rear ARB is the most expensvie of all... but i will go that 1st also...

car floating when highway 160km/h ... not so stable.
*
not sure if ARB will help that floaty feeling... i think Stiffrings can...

aside from the rear ARB, i also have front and rear arm bars and an upper strut... so not sure which bar actually minimized the floaty feeling cos i only tested 160km/h a few days back...

try asking your local showroom... from what i saw in the newspaper, they will have a promotion for Raya season... "attractive downpayment rebate" .. i have no idea whats that about biggrin.gif
check it out at toyota site... still no details though http://www.toyota.com.my/highlights/july-promotion.html
hmmm ARB ekk...
i saw the front UR (in the engine compartment selling for RM250.. dunno cheap or not...

floating feeling is not good... need to check more which will actually eliminate the floaty feeling.. biggrin.gif

kuman
*
check around first bro... different sellers have different pricing... some are very very expensive

for Vios 07 there are 2, old one with 2 screws and a new one with 4 screws, new one slightly more expensive but gives better feedback brows.gif
