For vios engine... what i notice from the MID of sportivo..

engine brake use no fuel at all.. meaning when u release ur padel when going down slope... it is 0L/km ...

I'm using semi synthetic but service every 10k as well ~ perhaps service every 5k is for those who are using mineral one.

mine ... 74k and counting... as average 1 week 1k of mileage of driving...

last time my another car service every 5~7k on fully sync.. as i notice some power lost at 6k after use...then change sync brand got 1 brand dont feel much power at 2k of mileage then been use Motul, Royal purple and lastly Amsoil till now...

so far Amsoil dint notice much power lost even push till 13k plus ... and best part city driving still able to archive 530km ~ 550km ... even at 70k plus....

i notice my ex-colleague vios been been running 250k plus and have not overhaul for oil leak... as our engine like bullet proof....
1 tank RM69 ~ RM71 able to archive 530km ~ 550km on city and 85% highway can reach 630km... on manual...

how long do u always stop at traffic light? I notice taking a no traffic light route do better... 
Also don't drive highway 160km/h~~~ does not do good for the fuel as well... 

my 1st full tank manage 490km with the highway 160km/h 
hope this second tank will last longer.. as i keep the rev below 3k rpm... see what i get later.   so far not so good.. cos last tank 1st bar can go 100km, now 90km already drop

This i get when test drive the Vios TRD... they have the MID meter showing how much fuel using L/KM.... 
too bad my G Limited no have such feature.

so far my first bar drops at 75km.... hopefully can imrpove to the same par as my prev manual vios...
err... when doing service.. which one should we follow....

the 3 months intervals?

previously i serviced my vios every 3.5 months and the mileage is at least another 1K before reaching the mileage intervals (very less long distance travelling)...

so which to follow ek? mileage or months?

had the same issue when i was using "Toyota Full Syn", which is from "Pennzoil"

Then change to Castrol, Shell, fully syn, still the same feeling. (Shell feels more powerful though)

Since then been using Amsoil.

My current Amsoil has last me 15k, without any feeling of dropping in power and FC high.
Amsoil comes with 25k miles guaranteed if you use their signature oil coupled with their nanofibre oil filter.

In case anyone didn't know this,

so Toyota Semi-Sync is 5W-30 ya?

since the Toyota Full Syn is 5w-40.. then might go with semi-sync la like that for the first 10k and judge it from there and see

Yes AMSOIL is full sync, Mine since 1k ori oil from toyota mineral oil then from the 1st service shift to Amsoil SSO 0w30 and AZO 0w30 till now signature series really good...

last time my gf vios also using toyota sync and been complain FC low... then now use SSO 0w30 and AZO 0w30 FC able to archive around 500k on city drive if not too bad traffic jam.

for the 1st bar on highway i able to archive max around 130km with speed of 110kmh for city driving between 80~100km depend how traffic condition.

To me been using amsoil Signature series 0w30 what i really like is after been continue none stop driving for 200km plus on highway without stop still have smooth power to accelerate when over take car....
toyota full sync is just a normal sync 5w40 is just too thick for our little car... our manual recommend to use is 5w30... you can check our manual book.

What fuel do you guys pump? 
Over here in Sarawak, only have Petronas and Shell.  If got BHP, sure will stick to that brand.

I've been using Petronas 95 for more than 1 year and feel that the engine sometimes lag when u step on the pedal.

After I change to Shell 95 last month, really can feel that difference straight away. Power is there when u step on the gas pedal. Now on my 2nd fuel up but notice that the engine noise a bit rough and car body shake a bit more compared to Petronas 95.
In terms of mileage comparison, not much difference.
Perhaps there are pros and cons that you guys have experienced in using both fuels?

my fuelly as follows, shell all the way! still another fuel up not yet entered

my workplace nearby jalan bukit bintang, heavy jam area, as you can see the fluctuation in fuel consumption

my place at kepong but i will travel to cheras to have dinner then travel back to kepong at nite, one day around 30km +/-

my last car was having the same travel pattern and only managed to reached 100k km on the eight year

haha, sorry about the misleading info, dont know how to add in previous info at fuelly there, where you service your car normally? service interval??

Life in big city is color full but traveling from point A to B is miserable not to forget need to service car even more earlier then the schedule car stop and go ...engine continue to run...

guys, just cnfius here..should ron95 or 97 give us more save fuel..?

My friend drives BMW 5 series but he doesn't bother... pump ron95 only.... i wonder whether that will damage his engine?
