Hi Vios members, PLEASE see this.

Bad and inactive thread , Good thread and best thread

Our thread (VIOS) is lack of much information compared to other threads (Forte, Civic, etc). Our thread seems like dying soon. Thanks to irresponsible  thread starter.

Every thread starter must make sure that he/she can make their thread successfully, INFORMATIVE and interesting. If you cannot do it, please leave this job to other potential VIOS owner. HAIZZZZZZ......

TS, no offence, please think about it.

QUOTE(alvin8866 @ Apr 10 2011, 07:43 PM)
I apologize as my opinion was rather aggressive and offensive. I am just hoping this thread will become better, interesting, and informative. Don't you?

Eg: Forte Club TS organizes event and activity. The TS creates Facebook Malaysian Forte Club.

TS doesn't visit and update this thread for quite a long time. Is he a responsible thread starter? Ask yourself sincerely please. We cannot simply open a thread and leave it there, hoping other vios owners to tell you to update latest news and things.

Hi leechers, do you see the links above? Please go and check their threads please. Those responsible TS(s) put their hard work and soul in it. Can you check Desire HD Thread? The TS works hard to gather all information available and categorize them in a systematic way. Their threads are getting interesting and improving over time. Please don't shot me as I want to voice my opinion. Thank you.  smile.gif

Hi Alvin,

I had been long visited this thread or should i say this forum... i had been busy lately...
there is a few sifu here also which you can rely on, whether it is technical question, mod question or even spare parts question... but unfortunately there isn't much info which we compiled, frankly speaking as there isn't ppl help to open a new thread when the old one passed the 2500 post limit for each thread (rules set by the admin), i help to start a new one...

If you think you have a lot of info please PM me your email... i'll pass all the starting post you all then by all means start a new thread for the Vios community... i more job to take care and now i seldom have time to online...

for organizing TT and also activity, i think u need to go to Vios 07 forum, that suits you more as there have bunch of technical info and also they organize activity also... please PM bro Vios2002 for more info...

what info do you want from here??? please sound out maybe i have those info you needed... pls i hate ppl blaming each other for lack of info while the other party does not sound he need help... is it shy to post question here to ask why this or that happens? sorry to be rude, i hate ppl blaming each other and also those ppl like you which like to have "Spoon Feed Info"... there is always the google or yahoo button to search for answer.... and you have your own finger to type to ask question... so make use of it...

Guys, anyone wanna take over please PM me... I'll email you all the starter post which i manage to copied from previous thread and rearrange it to you... all the coding is included... thanks...

AFAIK, gt3 had been phased out, toyota already conducted a recalled a while back to replace all gt3 with gt5
*
well frankly speaking both sucks... the traction in grip is bad and it is not suitable for ppl to use in Klang Valley which our driving at higher speed and sudden braking always happen...

QUOTE(HoongYau @ Apr 12 2011, 08:04 AM)

Hello..

New here and I just want to know Vios is using Timing belt or timing chain?
Just bought a 2nd hand Vios and it got some noise, belting kind of noise under the hood. Worried tho because it is a 2nd car.

Added on April 19, 2011, 1:16 pmOh, btw, its a 2005 Toyota Vios E
*
it might be the V-belt problem... changed once...
although it is using timing chain and it should last for life... but there is a 2 belts in the engine bay, aircond compressor and alternator if not mistaken... smile.gif

QUOTE(Swatchboy @ Apr 19 2011, 02:35 PM)

depends what SC u go... original UMW Toyota they will not install anything 3rd Party or what we bought from outside... some SC they do help but labour charges apply...

for the Iridium Spark Plugs i'm currently using NGK ones... because it has small gap which is 0.8mm gap similar with OE parts...
for Denso parts I can help to ask from my fren (disty) for Denso parts... give you an answer later.
