Hi there. Here's my problem. OVERHEATING. I am sick of it.. I own an acer aspire 5750g(gt630m,8gb ram,i5 2450m). I've already opened it up, cooled the vents and the cooler, repasted the gpu and cpu, reinstalled windows. I realised my pc is sometimes at 80-85C on idle and i noticed that my fan was not working. It's not working all the time.
P.s: i updated the bios from 1.15 to 1.21 yesterday, i see no improvements.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I also encountered this problem before. After reapply new thermal paste on both cpu and gpu, the temperature still doesn't drop. Then I reopen my laptop, remove the heatsink and open the fan. I unscrew the 3 small screws on the fan and found out that there is lots of dust in there. I clean it out. Now the temperature is 43 degree idle on battery, and 60 if I plugged in the charger. On full load, maximum about 79 degree I think.

I dont take off the fan blade off the fan. I just take the whole fan off the heatsink and clean the dust trapped inside the heatsink.
