Pardon me but is there an immobilizer in Forte? SA told me there's none.

pls understand the difference between an Immobilizer - an Anti-Hijack - an Alarm

Forte has an Immobilizer you can't start without the proper key fob. Even EX u cant use a copied key to start....

but Forte doesn't have - an Anti-Hijack means if you got down left key in car or even got hijacked at a traffic light the hijacker can drive off

Forte also doesn't have - an Alarm which is basically useless in Malaysia other than making the neighbors curse you!

in malaysia probably none. but other countries maybe. But unfortunately those cars with smart entry has no anti hijack, Sonata, forte, Nissan Latio, suzuki swift.

Probably you got to install yourself, but i do remember if you have the key outside of the car, it may have a sound telling you key not in, have to double confirm this. But in the boot the key left there the boot cannot close.

You know when you start your car and there is a warning light beside the ABS that looks like a key in a car? I think that's immobiliser

simple, can you start the car with no key in it? if cannot then it is a immobilizer.

i understand that when you have no battery on your smart key, there is a manual key to get into the car, then you have to place the smart key into a compartment in the middle storage area to activate the car, if not it will make noise.

actually you can't start ANY car with NO KEY in it. you can't duplicate (at least not that easily) a car with an immobilizer key and use it directly to drive the car AND you can't hot wire the car to start the engine.

if thats the case , claim for insurance .. let them take it d... they susah payah wanna steal ur car d..ntg u can do:)

Hi, appreciate if you guys could share your experiences on the following:

1. For those owning 2.0, how is experience with the leather seat? Comfortable? Do you get "butt burns" after parking the car under the sun on a very hot day?

2. For those who have changed from 17" to 16", any significant different in pickup & comfort?
