Im considering buying my first Mac.Can anyone guide me on which one is better for me.a 13inch MBP or 13inch MBA.
Im an engineering student. Sometimes i have to run some software for my project mainly on transmission line simulation.
But most of the time its for browsing internet and typing my assignments.

i intend to buy a macbook pro 13" through Apple, Msia eduction store website

may i know what procedure will be included if buy with student price? @@

FAT32. the only limitation is it cannot hold a single file larger than 4gb

another way is to format as NTFS, then install NTFS-3G on ur mac

yes, my friend did faced the problem when something happened to his MBP and he took back to Machine.

actually to claim warranty, if machines unable to repair or lack of parts, they might send it to singapore for RMA instead.

but if you bought from online store, you call apple directly, and deal with them directly. you may not need to go through any local resellers/service center.

whether items bought from reseller can call apple directly for any problem then i don't know, no experiences on that.

just curious, how are people at machines these days? i kinda dislike the ones working in sunway.

for instance, when the iphone 4 first came out it caught wind pretty quick that there were reception issues.

given that fact, i went to machines to inquire about the availability of the 3gs since i had broken mine.

"why go for older model? the iphone 4 is newer and better, what reception issue? never heard of it"

He know NOTHING about Mac, and now he's selling Mac product, just after few days training by the shop.  

talking about false information, when i called apple care hotline, when we touch about the topic of external dvd drive for MBA, the guy said the MBA can only work with the superdrive. dunno it's sales technique or plain clueless.

Has any1 tried the new Macbook Air? I've bought mine but it's still in the wrapper...... the 13" entry model.... thinking to change to i7 model but not too sure is it necessary.... any1 has opinion on this? thanks

Mac OS X doesn't take too much time to learn up, it's not that steep learning curve.. Just now still felt that the multitask is still way behind window's ugly startbar, the dock is pretty, tht's it.

MBA 2011 performance on starcraft 2 is almost the same as MBA 2010 as the review i seen, maybe 1 or 2 fps differences due to mba 2010 having a descrete graphic card
