Sometimes i have to run some software for my project mainly on transmission line simulation. But most of the time its for browsing internet and typing my assignments. |

why do you want to put it to sleep?
its better to just switch it off and off the power adaptor as well. you must have enabled messenger on your web. it automatically signs in when you open hotmail, therefore your live messenger will sign out |

QUOTE(daimon @ Aug 3 2011, 05:21 PM) thanks for the info. Yes, you're not talking to local customer service officer when you call apple care or storethe apple care hotline will connect to spore?! really?! yes, my friend did faced the problem when something happened to his MBP and he took back to Machine. Added on August 3, 2011, 8:06 pm QUOTE(little ice @ Aug 3 2011, 06:29 PM) actually to claim warranty, if machines unable to repair or lack of parts, they might send it to singapore for RMA instead. Apple will ask you to send it to service providers.but if you bought from online store, you call apple directly, and deal with them directly. you may not need to go through any local resellers/service center. whether items bought from reseller can call apple directly for any problem then i don't know, no experiences on that. It's the same if you buy from Premium Resellers This post has been edited by BRY7: Aug 3 2011, 08:06 PM |

QUOTE(olivur @ Aug 3 2011, 10:15 PM) just curious, how are people at machines these days? i kinda dislike the ones working in sunway. Those people at VR have experience.for instance, when the iphone 4 first came out it caught wind pretty quick that there were reception issues. given that fact, i went to machines to inquire about the availability of the 3gs since i had broken mine. "why go for older model? the iphone 4 is newer and better, what reception issue? never heard of it" which is why i usually send my stuff to vr tech. Ones at machines are only sales man. They don't know much unless they're managers |

QUOTE(Jing-leBelle @ Aug 4 2011, 09:50 AM) True, my friend is working in one of the reseller. Yea, I myself used to work at one of the reseller. He know NOTHING about Mac, and now he's selling Mac product, just after few days training by the shop. They didn't even ask me if I'm familiar with apple products. But honestly I have some knowledge for their products. And when my colleagues give out false information to customers, it pisses me off |

QUOTE(little ice @ Aug 4 2011, 03:20 PM) talking about false information, when i called apple care hotline, when we touch about the topic of external dvd drive for MBA, the guy said the MBA can only work with the superdrive. dunno it's sales technique or plain clueless. It works, I have a friend who uses samsung on his MBA.Could be their marketing strategy Added on August 4, 2011, 8:55 pm QUOTE(daimon @ Aug 4 2011, 03:33 PM) Yea, once I spoked to an Australian. Then he passed me to his senior for further explanation. QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Aug 7 2011, 12:07 PM) Mac OS X doesn't take too much time to learn up, it's not that steep learning curve.. Just now still felt that the multitask is still way behind window's ugly startbar, the dock is pretty, tht's it. I agree with your first statement.MBA 2011 performance on starcraft 2 is almost the same as MBA 2010 as the review i seen, maybe 1 or 2 fps differences due to mba 2010 having a descrete graphic card But people still don't want to take the risk, they think it's hard to learn therefore choose to stick to a PC |
