QUOTE(zXJaMeSXz @ Apr 14 2011, 10:42 PM) Guys... My 2011 13" MBP takes quite long to wake from sleep.... Usually it's instant, even after leaving it for sleep overnight.... Now it'll wake and hang for about 20-30 sec before it'll work.... Any idea why this happen? I think you will need to provide more information like before that incident what you have did to your mbp or what you installed and so on

hello guys, I'm doing a interest check if any of you folks interested in getting apple cables, such as minidisplay to DVI adapter, minidisplay to HDCP cable, minidisplay to VGA. As you probably knew, you could easily get them from applestore or premium retailers, with premium price of course. I'm thinking to buy some from Monoprice, a very trusted brand with reputable products. Some of you may have heard about it. So I thought maybe I could organise a bulk or something, win-win situation for everyone. So, if anyone is interested, please drop a message in my thread: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1836113Thanks peeps

I myself own mbp 13" i7 and quite fond of it. It just that I saw Sony's S and from the spec it looks like it is on par if not more than mbp. http://www.sony.com.my/product/vpcsb18ggWhat do you guys think? Anyone compared them? Also, is this a strong contender for mba? http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP900X3A-A03US

Sony or Apple I have tried both notebooks and found that I still love the form factor of the Mac ... very solid build and of course a solid OS ... whereas for the Sony S series .. it's great, and you get more ommph for the same $$$ you are paying .. but sexy-wise and "caress-value" wise... I still prefer the Mac .... The only thing I regret is that the newer Mac 2011 model doesn't support the Mini Displayport to VGA while you are in Bootcamp ... means you can only use the projector in Mac OS .. not in windows... you may want to consider that if you are deciding which notebook to buy

Did you set the right settings? I've googled and found this : "Using Macbook running Windows XP, simply right-click on the desktop itself (using two fingers on the mouse pad then clicking). An option will be there under "Graphics Output" for "Output to". This will only work if you have correctly connected the mini-DVI to VGA adaptor! You can have the display on one monitor, both the monitor and DVI output or even extend your desktop."

It just a mere question as to know what you guys think of it compared to mbp. Sure, most of the people here will say mbp is better than windows but I'm already fed up with that opinion without facts. It is good to be part of mac users however to be honest, I'm more to tech guy rather to brand guy, catch what I mean?

guys, i need some confirmation about something my late 2008 15" MBP is still under ACPP and i want to claim a battery. my cycle count is 424 at 76% health. i dont really need it but might as well la right? so that day i went to an apple authorized reseller (the only one in miri) but they say they need to send my MBP to KL in order to get a new battery, and this would take about 2 weeks. this is my only computer so that's out of the question but they mentioned that if i can take my MBP to an apple premium reseller, they can change my battery on the spot. is this true? the nearest APR would be in brunei. i dont mind driving there but it'd certainly bum me out if suddenly they say they cant do it too

And how is this a valid reason to use ACPP to claim for a new battery? My MBP is at 92% battery health after 43 cycles. I might have to do that too in another few years time. Please keep us updated.
