QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 17 2011, 12:34 AM) Nice, what did you get? Added on February 17, 2011, 12:36 amHere's an interesting article on how to prolong the life of a Li-Ion battery. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2011/0...ion-battery.arspersonally i will advise u to connect ur adapter whenever it is possible when using the macbook. because if u let it drain and charge it back, then it will eat up the charge cycle and the battery will end up depleted and it will not be covered under the AppleCare protection plan even the date is not expired yet (3 years).

QUOTE(wiraone @ Feb 17 2011, 12:07 PM) But not 24/7 .. as from my personal experience .. replaced my battery 4 times already.. Most of the time, my charger was connected to the MBP.. my charge cycle for the previous batteries were less than 50 each but the batteries died so fast.. Added on February 17, 2011, 12:08 pmBTW, I've no idea if ACPP will cover the battery .. need to check on that.. mine they replaced it FOC because it was covered under European Educational warranty.. Added on February 17, 2011, 12:17 pmIt seems the battery is covered under ACPP if the charge cycle is below certain limit as per the following link. Guess if you've ACPP, do the 24/7 will save a lot of money Info can be found in this link: http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.htmlNotebook Owners Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your replacement coverage for a defective battery to three years from the date of your notebook purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan. However, the AppleCare Protection Plan for notebook computers does not cover batteries that have failed or are exhibiting diminished capacity except when the failure or diminished capacity is the result of a manufacturing defect. Apple offers a battery replacement service for MacBook Air and all MacBook Pro notebooks with built-in batteries. You can purchase replacement batteries for late models of Apple notebooks directly from the Apple Store. yup, so like i said, better to charge it 24/7 and let it spoil rather than let the thing to deplete by charging it only when u need. coz if u are a heavy user, i believe by the beginning of the 3rd year, you already used up all ur charge cycle d.
