I have a question for mb pro user.i dont really understand the actual price of the mb pro..do i need to purchase the other add on items such as iwork,protection plan,or other preinstalled software?or could i get it by purchase the imitation software??
FYI,I'd like to buy the cheapest mb pro @3699..

what do you mean by imitation software?

applecare protection plan is apple's extended warranty program so need to buy separately; as is iWork. like mattel and hasbro always state at the end of their ads - both are sold separately

Yeap, spotlight working fine. Opened activity monitor, iTunes, iPhoto and following by Shockwave flash taking up the top 3 real mem.
Today is normal, not freeze, YET. >.<

fellow forumers from apple discussion forum are asking early 2011 mbp to install gfxcardstatus and run the fish test.

Waahh..why not just buy it COD with forumers?
I bought my mbp pro 13" i7 with bruceleestore as I am kind of his regular customer and got it within a day (I trust him to do postage)
Plus price is much lower than from Switch or Machines

If I buy from apple store I got student discount

Got my Macbook Pro 15" with 1680x1050 screen about 2 weeks ago. I actually had it earlier, but on the 2nd day somehow the USB port got shorted out and the whole laptop died. Sent it back and got a replacement unit with a RM200 credit as well.... Always trust Apple Care man!

But yes, I find it a joy to work with...... Windows 7 performance also very good in Boot Camp and running Crysis 2 without any problems. Also, I upgraded to 8 gigs of RAM just a little while ago and its performance, especially for my music and video editing, definitely makes alot of difference.

Just waiting for some Thunderbolt accessories to unleash it's full potential....

Only buy from apple online if : 1. you need customised spec which you unable to DIY or device has no DIY capability (e.g MBA), 2. you are not eligible for student discount.

the actual price is rm3699, that's it.

the rest are extras. upgrade RAM, upgrade hard drive etc. iwork, mobileme n such, well if u dunno what it is, n not sure if u need it, then dont buy hehe easy as that. if someday later u feel like u want it, then get it later on. no rush. you'll do fine without them

protection plan is a bit tough. i'd advise you to get it. u dont have to buy it together with the MBP, but u need to buy within one year. because you can only activate it during ur MBP's original warranty (1 yr). when ur MBP is older than 1yr, it's not eligible for protection plan anymore. as for the matter of why you should buy ACPP, well anything that comes out of a factory have a chance to break. ACPP will cover for u for 3 years. the way i see it, it's a must for ppl who cant afford to buy a new laptop every 1 year.
