QUOTE(pengster @ May 16 2011, 01:56 PM) Alright thanks alot for the feedback guys! I was thinking of either getting the NP8130 or the M14x, but it seems that the NP8130 is cheaper and also has a more powerful graphics card. Just that with the M14x and the GT555m, nVidia's Optimus is available and test reports said that it can last about 4 hours+ on the integrated graphics, which is quite good. I'm trying to find a balance between performance and battery life, cause I'll be using the laptop for gaming and also bringing it to uni for uni stuff. oh. well actually Optimus is possible with GTX460m. if you look at nVidia's website (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-geforce-gtx-460m-us.html) GTX460M does have Optimus technology, but in Sager it is being disabled through graphics. i believe at NBR there's a thread about enabling Optimus. I know how to do it, but quite lazy to open up the inf file and add in Clevo P151HMx into Optimus (my guess that it is the same like enabling latest graphics NVidia driver for Sager NP8130). Added on May 16, 2011, 3:27 pmheheh. Clevo P151HM mentioned in Anandtech couple of days ago : http://www.anandtech.com/show/4339/cyberpo...r-mobile-gamingCyberPower X6-9300 is Clevo P151HM which is also Sager NP8130 This post has been edited by carbonytte: May 16 2011, 03:27 PM

when i connect my ext hdd which supports usb 3.0 to this laptop , it stated that this disk can perform faster if i connect to usb 3.0.

QUOTE(kahjye @ May 16 2011, 04:06 PM) The drivers and utilities disk (CD/DVD) comes together with the laptop. In Windows 7, when copying file from your harddisk to external harddisk (or vice versa) You will notice the data transfer rate is higher. Data transfer rate is shown in windows 7 but not in xp.

But, if you plug into the USB 2.0 slot, you can see the data transfer rate is lower, means the USB 3.0 slots are working fine :] This post has been edited by jimmykvt: May 16 2011, 04:24 PM

nah. 480MBps is a theoritical data. hitting 50-60MBps is already good. try this for reference : http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Asus-N61-Lapto...iew-1507-3.htmland also the page after that. look at the numbers. they don't even reach 100 MBps. Nothing to be afraid of, really. The only time I'm afraid if it somehow did not work. I'm getting some probs connecting USB 2.0 HDD to the USB 3.0 ports sometimes, but no prob with USB 2.0 port. Maybe downgrading the speed just fails sometimes haha

QUOTE(marcuslpm @ May 16 2011, 05:27 PM) yawnnnn.. wonder how long izzit gona be for my laptop to arrive. lol No worries, waiting is always the exciting moment. Once you got it, you will surely appreciate the performance of Sager comparable to an Alienware but comes with an affordable price. That's how I appreciate my NP8170-S1 now, as powerful as Alienware M17X but saves me RM2k or even more.
