QUOTE(noobie1 @ Mar 2 2011, 11:34 PM) dont know where got sell and i tried yamiya and shashinki, found nothing when search gnd but can see some nd filter there..(i tot gnd and nd filter is different? or they are same?) GND = Graduate Neutral Density ND = Neutral Density Former suitable for landscape that involves skies while latter can be used to take slow shutter images, i.e. waterfall with slow shutter speed. Go for Cokin, or cheaper TianYa. I've always wanted to get a set but no monneh maybe later this year

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(KTCY @ Mar 3 2011, 09:17 AM) Have you tried 35/2 ? I find 50/1.4G slightly better as IIRC, it sharp on f/1.8 onwards. Color wise looks promising too but focus some milisecond slower. Price different by 800 Ya , 35mm f/2 sharp on f2 onwards , i never try 35mm 1.4g and 35mm 1.8g before , what do you think ? Can share to us if you try that before? Thank !

I find 35/1.8 soft. At f/2.8 still not as sharp as f/2 35/1.4G better. Quite sharp at 1.4 stepping down no need to say la Added on March 3, 2011, 2:01 pmQUOTE(Kent3888 @ Mar 3 2011, 01:52 PM) If I grab a 50mm sigma, should I still keep the 35mm f/1.8? or fund for VRII Sell ! QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Mar 3 2011, 02:06 PM) is your 35mm 1.8 really that bad? 35mm F/1.8 is just an entry level DX lens, nothing to be proud of , i was one of the user 1 year ago... If u have Sigma 50 1.4 i bet u wont even touch the 35 f/1.8 Added on March 3, 2011, 2:10 pmQUOTE(Kent3888 @ Mar 3 2011, 02:03 PM) Haha... QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Mar 3 2011, 02:06 PM) is your 35mm 1.8 really that bad? Noo.... It's good enuf for me, juz I prefer the perspective of 50mm as a portrait lens, I don't use it as a walk around lens. Den for portrait, the image on 35mm1.8 is not that flattering though, n I notice I alwiz use the 50mm end of the 17-50 for portrait more compared to my 35mm prime This post has been edited by Kent3888: Mar 3 2011, 02:14 PM
