I'm serious la. 50/1.4 sharp only on f/2.2 onwards while 35/2 sharp on f/2 onwards
50 quite tight while 35 more flexible smile.gif

How does the 35 f/2 fare against 85G at f/2 or 24G at f/2?

I'd compare against 35/1.4 as same range.
The sharpness at f/2 looks almost par smile.gif

But color wise, N wins !

Only reason I didn't compare it to the 35mm is because I haven't tried that =/

Have you tried 35/2 ?
I find 50/1.4G slightly better as IIRC, it sharp on f/1.8 onwards. Color wise looks promising too but focus some milisecond slower.
Price different by 800 smile.gif

Sharp! Maybe when I have time will post a bit taken with the 24 f/1.4G haha. Seems the same or better then the 85G. Hmm but its all together different range, could be due to DOF differences.

tried the 35mm but not the 50mm.
Kinda like 50mm cropping on my DX and tempted for the big aperture. Might let go my 35mm for the 50.

How's it perform on f1.4?

That's why I don't compare 35/2 with any 24/1.4 or 85/1.4 tongue.gif

50/1.4G ? A little soft but much better than 50/1.4D
50/1.4D at 1.4 totally dreamy effect laugh.gif
