I got mine from SenQ.
It's SiS Set ma....hm.....let me reconfirm. I remember I did a "shootme" photo of it right after I rooted it.

SGS rooting is seriously different from Desire .

In desire u cant temperory root . u cant use z4root or any other root application cuz desire got more security .

Thats why we need to unrevoke .

But Sgs very simple . use z4root . and u done .

I know this cuz i help my fren root his sgs .

of course
not all Android phone have the same rooting method,
that's why have to always do research before rooting

yap..rooting is very easy for sgs. i helped my fren do it.
but for me,sgs is not user frenly. they dont have bootloader and their 3button to enter recovery sometimes not working. easily can semi-bricked.
HTC still the most frenly for rooting and flashing process.

My branded Desire straight use the RUU as stated and no problem.

Don't need Gold card or anything. Mwahaha

Tjya, that day when I used 2.29 it told me my software version is more updated than the 707.1 one. o_o It mentioned the Software numbers for me.

check ur streaming audio. try change it to media or system.
