Guys, may I ask if anyone ever tried the TV output with the N900?
I mean like connect the N900 to the TV with the wire supplied together with the N900.

Added on September 25, 2011, 1:25 amVaizard : I've updated to KP48, but I didnt notice anything significant, but then again, I am not that much of a power user to notice any changes.

I believe many have done that. I've been doing it since the beginning, and to watch HD quality video, I use some software which allows streaming from the PC via VLC, nice.....

And guess what? Multi-tasking works like a charm and it's surprising; Once I receive SMS while the video is playing, so I use ctrl+backspace, the video is still playing through the TV while I navigate the N900, reply the SMS and send it, without interrupting the playback on the TV; Woah! Cool!

the tv out does't support HD. However, the quality is pretty decent. I tried it on my house's SAMSUNG HDTV and it actually looked darn close to HD. video streaming (video recorded by the n900) was damn decent and didn't feel or look choppy at all. Even played games like DrNOKSnes and others with it and it just amazed my family and friends. hehehehe...

Try it. You'll like it

Yea, you'll need HDMI cable for that. But for HD video files, it cannot be played on N900, so I have to stream from PC, with the PC as the decoder. Very cool, I've been cracking my head when the N900 can't play the file, then I found the app, I think it was called Knots2. Sweeet...

But the thing is that I plugged it in and.. nothing happens? the wire connects to the N900's headphone jack right? and the other end will be the 3 wires that connects to the TV?

Yes, check you connect to which AV (e.g. AV1, AV2, etc). It should work plug-and-play; If it doesn't work try on other TV to see if it's your TV problem or the N900/Cable problem.
