lol he said 'maybe' only. By the time the Sensation is out, HTC's policy might have changed.

hope they realize their stupid pathetic (deliberate) mistake and don't lock it, i'll never consider a locked phone that can't be s-off and rooted.

Motorola, HTC and Samsung all have the bootloader lock now.... oh SE one is still lock.

I think that's why cyanogen team tweet about skipping this phone, as a threat for HTC to open up BL.

Great news, I'll add it to page 1.

But probably have to wait till Q4 for Malaysia, since we are always slow.

Thing is, the majority of normal HTC users don't care about bootloaders of stuff. The root users are a very small minority. Unless HTC Facebook (the official USA one) asks a 'what apps you like to see on your new HTC phone' question and people overwhelmingly add 'unlocked bootloader' like what happened to Motorola. HTC probably cares more about noobs bricking the phone and asking for a replacement than to please the minority tech savvy ones.

true, IMO they (and probably any company that wants to keep the bootloader locked) should do like what SE did,

release the phone with bootloader locked, but offer a website to unlock the bootloader, and of course with terms and conditions.

this way those who are tech savvy enough can get what they want, and those who are not won't be tinkering with it.

full package would be to release a recovery tool for people to revert to factory state /ROM. I think that's what motorola did with the Atrix SBF.

That way users can do what they want, and solve it themselves.

hmm, what about SGS2?

you could wait for Nexus 3, but it would be a long wait.

rumored to be around Christmas, and it may be from LG.
