Is HTC losing its edge or it's just under-hyped compare to Samsung Galaxy S2?
Sure, its spec is not as good as SGS2 in some aspects (RAM, Storage, screen) but I think Sensation still has its appeal such as the much anticipated Sense 3.0, qHD resolution and better built quality. I am still undecided between the two, and main factors will be: - Maxis pricing and plan - Reviews - Hands-on to check out look & feel, if possible |

QUOTE(RedsInHell @ May 9 2011, 03:24 PM) Honestly, the only major adv sensation has over sgs2 is built Q. It's a personal opinion, but I don't usually get too excited over spec, and focus more on user experience (and I think Sensation 3.0 is better than TouchWiz 4.0), and also HTC tends to provide updates faster than Samsung. Besides that, I think design wise HTC Sensation is more attractive (SGS2 is rather bland). Hardware wise, I don't know why everyone is thinking that Exynos is superior over Snapdragon the 3rd although it's not proven, and even Exynos is superior I think the difference wont be bigThat alone had me thinking to buy it over sgs2. Unfortunately nothing else that better than sgs2, came to back it up. qhd is great, but coming from samoled sense also the best, but I'll be happy with launcher pro. (also it is still unavailable as for now). So, I've passed this & went for sgs2. hopefully when 2ghz dual core become available, i can make htc my next one. I will at least wait for Sensation to come before finally getting the SGS2 This post has been edited by samurai1337: May 11 2011, 10:36 AM |

u won't be surprised for 95% of the users (which is outside of LYN), they don't give a damn about locked bootloader and they are not interested in rooting at all. So don't rule out HTC Sensation from being a commercial success just yet

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 27 2011, 01:46 PM) but i don think sensation will be unlocked since HTC never/haven't announce sensation will be 1 of the device that bootloader unlocked... I think it will be unlocked.HTC doesn't want to risk releasing a phone that can't sell. Maybe it's too late for the release but perhaps it will come in as a patch |

That's fairly expensive. I'm sure it will drop after 2 months of launch

Mind telling your source of news? 10 June's rather early, earlier than Samsung Galaxy S II official launch

Means Sensation is being shipped with unlocked bootloaders? That's something to cheer, definitely
But the RRP of 2.4k - 2.6k is really high, compare to SGS2 RRP |

cyberic: give the owners some time. The battery usage in the first few days won't be accurate anyway:
- Battery is not fully calibrated (takes few full charges) - As it's new phone, usage sure super-duper high (hardly considered moderate) |

No big deal to me... as long as the construction is solid I'm happy
Just a bit of confusion as I also remember seeing somewhere that Sensation has unibody |

Had a look at this model at Cubic @ The Gardens (the one near Sony & Nokia)
Not overly impressed... the Sense interface is good but maybe I've been using it since ori Desire so there's not much of surprise (and somehow I prefer ori Android now). Screen contrast is, as said, not as good as Incredible. However, on the good side, the navigation is snappy, the build quality is top-notch, if that's what you're looking for. p/s: the seller also said that Telco launch is not likely, as otherwise telco will get to launch it first - but not sure about the credibility This post has been edited by samurai1337: Jun 9 2011, 01:48 PM |
