the murcielago analogy, i would agree and disagree a bit. Here's my version:
It's like buying a Murcielago but not allowed to install turbo or nitrous, or tweak the electronics of the car. It's still a fast stock car to begin with, which is good enough. |

Hopefully over the next few hours the following questions can be answered:
1) camera module quality 2) bootloader 3) front facing camera support for video call over 3G GSM. more hands on video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-UiHCP8mCg&feature=feedu This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Apr 12 2011, 11:01 PM |

QUOTE(bb.supplements @ Apr 12 2011, 11:14 PM) Pyramid is codename la. In hacking forums you'll see the HTC Sensation be referred to as the Pyramid, like how the Nexus One is referred to as Passion, Desire = Bravo, Desire HD = Ace and Desire Z = Vision.Like how Windows XP was codenamed 'Longhorn'. |

^lol you'll be surprised at the amount of businessman being put off buying HTC androids just because they do not support 3G video call.
About camera, one can't know until the photos start rolling in. You never know, they might partner with some actual camera manufacturer for the camera module. hahaha |

in the case of united states of america, i think it's more of a case of carriers trying to stop ppl from using tethering without paying additional charges.
I understand why they are locking the phone down so tightly. But wouldn't their phone be soooo much better if they invested the money used to invest in tightening the security, into finding ways to make the phone thinner or having more RAM or stuff? |

it's going to be very hard for the next iPhone to be impressive enough to be 'better' than the army of Androids announced this year.
1) 3D display. To put or not to put? 2) 3D camera. To put or not to put? 3) HDMI output 4) functional lockscreen 5) dual core 6) Dual LED flash |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Apr 14 2011, 11:02 AM) Lamborghini also got signature design for its doors but u dun see that all the vehicles they make look almost the same. Porsches look the same. 911, 911 RS, 911 GT, 911 GT2, 911GT3, Panamera, Cayman, you name it.Toyota Camry also got its signature design but u dun see the same old thing in it everytime. Apple Iphone also got changes through the generation so does Nokia phones. But nah who cares as long as it works fine everyone will accept it. It's hard to reinvent the wheel. Similarly, it's hard to innovate a design where the product is primarily a screen. |

Thing is, the majority of normal HTC users don't care about bootloaders of stuff. The root users are a very small minority. Unless HTC Facebook (the official USA one) asks a 'what apps you like to see on your new HTC phone' question and people overwhelmingly add 'unlocked bootloader' like what happened to Motorola. HTC probably cares more about noobs bricking the phone and asking for a replacement than to please the minority tech savvy ones.

full package would be to release a recovery tool for people to revert to factory state /ROM. I think that's what motorola did with the Atrix SBF.
That way users can do what they want, and solve it themselves. |

Its price has to compete with the SGS2, and if history is of any indication, the Sensation will be priced lower than the SGS2, well hopefully of coz. haha

^nobody knows until the first unit hits our shores. I say all prices out there are speculation.
Like how in overseas the Desire Z is cheaper than the Desire HD. When it hits M'sia, suddenly they are priced the same. lol This post has been edited by DJFoo000: May 4 2011, 11:20 PM |

My only concern is dev uptake, as they would probably be taking up the EVO 3D instead.
