Torres, the name is bigger than the Man
He is still the same player tat sulk like Berbaflop when he missed chances, whereas Suarez wont and Suarez hav the edge of being an exciting creative player
If we din sell him, he will be taking up a "non scoring striker slot" in our first 11 juz like it is happening in Chelsea now. Yes , 50Mil is a good SALE price for us.
Btw, for those of you who din watch the Chelsea match, Torres was again sub out around the 65min mark laugh.gif

i think if chelsea misses CL spot next season, torres will beg to come to liverpool again. chelsea will sell him at half the price liv sold him. but I think Liv should teach him a lesson first before accepting him again. let him play in the reserve for a full season first before allow him to play in the 1st 11 again biggrin.gif

Let's not poke fun at Chelsea or belittle Torres anymore. We have our own troubles to sort out.
And honestly, so does Torres it seems.

I agree. we dropped 2 points against Wigan (although i must admit they played very well). Hopefully the boys will put together a series of fine run and bring in the points. And hope Sunderland, Spurs and Chelsea falters...

He betrayed us in the first place, if he really wanna win thropies, then go elsewhere, like Barca or Real, why to our rivals and knowing tat our next game is against them too.

Anyway, we will see how well he play for them. now we hav Suarez and Carroll, we can concentrate and consolidate out climb for the 4th spot, its still possible mathematically though thumbup.gif

First, Barcelona doesnt need Torres, they have far more enough depth, from Villa, Pedro, Messi, Bojan and Jeffren...
2ndly, soon or rather later, he will face us... so it makes no difference weather it happens straight away or at the end of the season...
So, just because of the next game is against Liverpool, Torres has to stop chasing his dreams?!

Added on February 15, 2011, 11:09 amand yeah, given that having Suarez and Carroll, i think Liverpool is heading to a brighter side...

Madness. I think we may have a genuine no 7 in the making here. Got some real pace and skills. He just waltzed through the defense like they were bunch of 10 year old kids haha. Future looks good, really good. Suso, Rahem, Coady, Silva, and by the time they break through the first team, the likes of Carroll, Suarez, Lucas, and Wilson will be at their peak.

agree with this. Players like Makelele, Shaun Wright Philips, Nasri, Fabregas, Scholes, Juninho, Park Ji Sung, Zola, etc have small frame compare to your normal players but instead of being bullied by bigger players, they turn to be the most influential players ever grace in EPL. It is the matter of determination and football brain that will ensure those players able to play in EPL.

I figure both u lot did came up against players of Shawcross size when young? It'll f***ing destroyed the players confidence when & if they did terrible against those players. They only way to blood them is thru cup matches ( which we edi screwed up by losing to the mighty Northampton) & few mins here & there in the league matches.

Some of those mentioned though small have some experience playing in full fledge leagues before BPL with the exception of Fab. I'm not sure... but how about compare fab to Pacheco & Suso? Last I saw, Fabs already a fully built guy compare to those 2.
& pls google Makelee , SWP & Zola, pics before saying they're slender & small frame, they might be short but definitely not slender/small frame. Their upper body strength may put some of the big guys to shame.
As for Nasri & Modric, I thought they take some times to get used to the league & also pack up some muscle compare to when they arrived.

Personally me think the physical part is important in the sense that it'll gives them more confidence when facing some big guys. Else it may mentally break them as well. Lets not forget that young players have the tendency to be mentally not as strong as matured players. At least by being able to hold themselves up, they eliminates 1 potential weakness.

well, it's easy to brand them as great prospects, but we all know from 100 promising youngsters often only one or two makes it to the starting 11 of a top team. so i guess we can keep our expectations modest for the time being and see how they progress in the next 4-5 years.

having said that, apart from sterling who scored majority of the goals, the two fullbacks had a great show last night, jack robinson and john flanagan, according to paul dalglish anyway. robinson already made his debut a while ago, good to see him doing well in the u18 team. surprised that he still hasn't broken into the reserves squad yet though.

a curious stat for those interested in liverpool's youngsters, apparently before benitez took control of the academy, liverpool has been churning out 3-4 youth internationals the most, 2009 onwards after RB in charge, we have around 25-28 youth internationals. gotta give credit to RB and king kenny for revamping the youth teams in liverpool.

Apart from those mentioned, I'm also impressed with Flanagan last nite. Calm and composed on the ball.

Shawcross dont meet up with a midfielder like suso & pacheco ont the field right?...so a midfielder like suso, pacheco, sterling wont meet up with those big, tall CB...their area of the pitch wont let them to meet against shawcross or other big built C.B...of course big physical body gave u an advantage but its not the MUST HAVE criteria...nasri,modric do take some time to get used to EPL...so do a player called Thierry Henry!!..he's not that slim, slender right?

i bet while in liverpool michael owen was trembling like hell when he met against big brutal martin keown ehhhhhh

plz la.... when he was in liverpool every1 praised him to heaven then when he leave u guys curse him to hell. its no wrong for sm1 to think about whats best for them. ie, if the company u r working in now done have much future will u still continue n work with them for the rest of ur life? i believe deep down ur heart u will say no unless u have no ambition kind of person.

going to rivals? rivals of what? be honest la, liverpool is no where near challenging for title tis season. u might argue next season, but if he went to a team like wigan n wigan win against liverpool or they finis better in the standing next season, u guys will still curse him like hell.

com'on la juz be a true supporter to ur beloved team. 4get bout torres n concentrate how to get the best out of the players u have now
