I have no problem if we play narrow, as long as there is sufficient creativity and movement on the field. If u noticed we created many clear-cut chances, which fell mainly to malouda and lampard respectively. They failed to put them away and that was the root of the problem. It was a much improved performance compared to fulham if u ask me, but we were just not clinical enough. Width wouldn’t have helped our woeful finishing.
Chill mate. Every signing will take time to adapt. After all those amazing goals he’s scored against us, I think he’s far from ‘suck.’ If it makes u feel any better he has at least 4 of his best years ahead of him. One worry though is he seems to have lost a bit of pace, so we have to rehabilitate that part of his game. When he’s on form, I assure u his finishing is on par with the likes of villa and pato.
I watched the highlight again and again and still couldnt believe those chance that were wasted. Started with Terry balooned the ball high, then Lampard, then Lampard then Malouda then Lampard.. I dont think our problem is creating chances anymore, coz we create chances, without any finishing. Torres was supposed to provide clinical finishing, let see how that goes.
Its good to see Drogba in his last game. One might say he didnt have any shot on target. But well, looking at his previous form, I would say he is improving. He bullied the defender again and again. see how many aerial ball he won with his chest. He tracked opponent back, and won the ball. His determination is what I missed.
Let hope our lads to the best in tomorrow's game.
