Marin might be ok, but Robben and Kaka may be just out of our reach.
Just my two cents, open for criticism

Price is an issue as well. We can't just keep going around buying players of that calibre without thinking twice. Selling Malouda and Anelka isn't going to get us too much of our money back either.

Now not yet transfer window, so I don't think we should be talking about potential targets or players.
We should concentrate on who we have now and support them. |

i watched the second half and Benny is definitely the key to our attacking midfield. he deserves the number 10 and plays in the hole really well. he is very skillful with the ball and with Torres and Drogba making runs, its gonna give opponents a hard time.
according to the commentators, 40% of Chelsea's goals somehow is connected to Lampard, but Lampsy has lost that in the past few games. I think maybe Lampard should sit out the manu game, instead, put Benny in with Torres/Anelka partnering Didi up front. Ramires and Essien sitting back, making occasional bursts forward. but then manu will definitely defend and hit us on the counter. we'll definitely need some luck if we want to proceed in the Champions League |

QUOTE(HumbleCMY @ Apr 10 2011, 10:34 PM) Love Danny's interview also. He said he's a chelsea player and wants to play regular football with Chelsea. the drog's return to form coincided with the arrival of torres, and i like how he's responded thus far. sometimes he doesn't find his strike partner as often as i'd like, but i'm sure the understanding is slowly being built. definite starter vs utd. and you're right, only a few months ago he was unrecognisable. Used to hate Drogba a few months ago, now he's one of the best player in our line-up. But he always run wide to right side and cross , but Malouda and Lampard can't run into box in time to connect to the crosses, thats why Drogba seem ineffective in 4-3-3 a few months ago. Now got Torres/Benayoun in box means can have better chances of heading/tapping in crosses. QUOTE(Ichighost @ Apr 11 2011, 03:12 AM) YOUTH CUP REPORT: CHELSEA 3 MANCHESTER UNITED 2 great match, i like how roman was also there to witness the lads triumph! he's obviously itching to see some of those lads make it into the first team.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 1st Team squad? anything to say?? heheheh anyway, our new young brazilian's fantastic goal!with a good assist to boot with fabio boriniiiiiiiiii |

Well, Benny's fitness would be an issue. I doubt very much he can play for 90 minutes. 60 minutes top, I think. But yeah, he got what it takes to playmake our game. But well, that's up to CA to decide. I am not soo sure that he'll let Benny take over Lampard role. according to the commentators, 40% of Chelsea's goals somehow is connected to Lampard, but Lampsy has lost that in the past few games. For Torres, he is more suits to pass to space and run where like how Liverpool used to play. Its time for us to make our own luck. |

so chelsea managed to get a save 1-0 win against wigan...with so many on targets but only produced 1 goal
i dont blame torress..he does well but whenever he want to score..either GK or DEFENDERS will be in his way...so i just think its just matter of time for torres to flourish!.... all the best for chelsea in CL....if they proceed to next round i will be happy...if they NOT i wont worried to much....cuz this year been most of the ttime i'm sad about their performances ...for the most of the season..except 1st 10 matches of 2010....peace! |
