“I think it was clear, everyone knows it was clear. The problem is that in the last minute I understand sometimes it is not easy to give a penalty. I am disappointed but it doesn’t matter, this is the result, this is the past.”

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Apr 7 2011, 07:43 PM) interesting suggestion..i dunno man..we started to look really stale with the 4-3-3 when malouda's form began to nosedive. if we still had kakuta and carlo's willing to slot him into that left wing, i seriously wouldn't mind. but our wingers are non-existent now. so..if nico rediscovers his from as a 'winger' under hiddink and torres is willing to try and adapt to that left side....it might work. its a little late for experiments though..i reckon we'll stick with the 4-4-2 or revert to a 4-5-1.on a side note, neymar got sent off for a second yellow after a brilliant solo effort against colo-colo (wow that rhymes!). it was for putting on a mask (of himself lol |

QUOTE(crimsonhead @ Apr 7 2011, 10:45 AM) As some of you remarked Torres is a damaged product. Evidently we have seen enough of his performances at Liverpool, WC, and now with Chelsea to come to this conclusion that he is past his prime. Yes Chelsea should have spend the money on Aguero. CA cannot afford to do a Shevchenko else he will be toast like Mourihno with RA. IMO ever since the Norski Referee’s imbroglio, Drogba is a CL liability. |

QUOTE(Kerplunk @ Apr 7 2011, 03:48 AM) It seems the regular posters who got evicted by mods from the man city thread, have landed over here. Lol. Didn’t expect to see so many though...obviously still annoyed or shall I say ‘butthurted’ at luiz not being sent off at the bridge the other day. Hoho. Play nice fellas..at least don’t make it seem so obvious. i welcome those who are here to discuss though. Yes it looks like the illegal squatters were evicted by City 'DBKL'. Now its noisy here? Hmm problems remain the same. Our midfield apart from ramires is in total meltdown. Gave the ball away countless times, and we couldn’t even string 3 simple passes to launch a counter-attack. We’ve been plagued by the same problem for some time now, i.e, a lack of creativity and craft. unfortunately i foresee this problem continuing until the end of the season. Is it me or does it look like didier always seems more interested to link up with nico, rather than torres? Anyway our Spaniard didn’t have a particularly good game this time, and I think he did go down intentionally for the first incident, but there was contact for the second one. The ref dished out a card which was supposed to be given earlier. But if we’re talking about Oscars then besides torres, rooney and evra deserve one each as well for their fantastic rolling around on the ground after barely being touched by our players. Guys I know its hard to ignore the penalty incident, and I understand the frustration. However I just don’t think we did enough to merit a win. Its only natural the incident gets mentioned and don’t mind the trolls coming here having a go. The fact of the matter is, it won’t take long until something goes against them (such as the Rafael sending off last season against Bayern) and they’ll have pages upon pages upon pages of complaints blaming the officials. They’re trying to make it seem as if we’re exactly the same but I know for a fact most regular posters here are a lot more reasonable than that. Don’t take the bait. still another 90 mins to play in the second leg! p. s : epic fail of the day : trolling and ridiculing others for bringing up refereeing decisions, then 'accidentally' exposing themselves for still being bitter about decisions that went against them recently/years ago You are right Chelsea didn't deserve to win, but on the other hand should go to OT with a draw. ![]() Its definitely a penalty when you see the deliberate action of Evra’s right foot above Ramires knees. I would let it go but what convince me is the finishing torque action (inward heel above Ramires left knee) completing a ‘scissors’ action inside the box. Evra definitely did not get the ball & Ramires did not dive. See rest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvi5hnoKMBE Added on April 8, 2011, 2:10 amBottom line is the Spanish Ref did a 'Webb' job and I suppose he got it right except for the Ramires Penalty and by right Evra should be send off. No? Remember this referee was the one that denied a Drogba goal when Buffon scooped his shot behind the goal line. The official, behind the goal, was not called to action. But will we now get another just to watch for penalty infringement? To be fair and objective, Alberto Malenco’s view was obstructed by the pair tussle. I will watch MU match all over again tomorrow and I will give my reviews.
Regarding Wigan match, I think Carlo is trying to stick with 442. Play Anelka and Kalou forward, rest lampard. Anelka-Kalou Malouda-Essien-Ramires-Benayoun Cole-Terry-Luiz-Iva Cech Hopefully benayoun can start and Ramires take over the attacking midfield post. If we can bring in a wing, I would like to see we play 4231 in the future. -------------------Torres------------ Zhirkov/Malouda-Ramires-Benayoun -------------Essien-Lampard/Josh------ Cole-Terry-Luiz-Iva Cech If Zhirkov,Malouda and Benayoun do not perform, we have to buy wings at the both flanks. Aww, I miss Mourinho Robben and Duff era. IMO,4231 fit us quite well. Drogba can play behind torres then move Ramires to the right. If Anelka can play well, then he can replace zhirkov/malouda place. Benayoun can play wing. I think he used to play there in Liverpool.

the 442 system doesnt work because drogs and torres cant work together. the 433 system cannot work because malouda has lost his form.
i wonder if there will be any change of tactics in the coming league game. |

Is it FT's positioning so bad on the pitch ?
OR The teammates die die look at him as the last person to pass the ball to ? OR He is epiclylegendarilytightly marked by the opponents? --- I need to brain this part. |

the main issue is midfield. If there's no supply how can striker score?
Look at those goals scored by Chicarito n Rooney. All product of great piece of work by midfield to the winger n cross to the striker. Since departure of Ballack & Deco, i noticed that Chelsea midfield became less in creativity. I dare to say, even the likes of West Brom n Sunderland play much better football than us.. |

Josh is fit rite? hopefully he will start tomorrow. as for left midfield, can try benayoun there.Look at those goals scored by Chicarito n Rooney.
