Lost in jungle still got signal? Must be watching Naruto too much then... without signal, your phone is what?

Not all Nokia phone has GPS, let alone compass. Even with GPS, do you think you have path to show? Just showing you in middle of nowhere. It does not matter what phones you have, in the wild, your basic instincts and survival skills matters, not some long lasting phone with GPS or whatsapp. There is no problem with your English, just that your example and explanation sucks.

we're talking about E6 right? all default Ovi Maps that come with E6 have preloaded M'sia maps...
in jungle if lost (surely u will notice it early) then u will still not too far into the jungle then just load up the ovi maps zoom out u should have a roughtly which way to head on to reach out... pardon me regarding those blocking trees for the gps signal... |

QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Aug 16 2011, 02:34 PM) u r so funny, it seems like u never been in the jungle...u only know how to provoke but dont know what the reality is..i am geologist...n i always been in the jungle, u think malaysia jungle is like amazon in brazil...last month, i had fieldwork in Bukit Chondong, Perlis.. the signal is still gud, can make call without any problem...even though i'm using nokia 1200...except in langkawi, where the signal is very bad...without telco signal, gps is still gud...my e72 gps still can lock the signal when there is no line when i was in langkawi by dat time... Very funny meh?Of course, it has improved quite a lot since these last few years, but still very dependant on the service provider and location. I cant get signal at all in certain places in my house with Digi and yet with Maxis always 3bars at least. If it works for you, you assume it must work for others? Your phone must be awesome cos can get coverage in jungle. The fella I knew that get lost in FRIM, unable to get any coverage to even call back and went on missing for 2days before he finally walked a great distance to finally get the signal to call for help. I never asked what phone he used, but judging from he was unable to get signal, must be something other than Nokia lor |

Aiyoo, here also must argue Symbian & Android, Nokia & Samsung S2. We buy what we want according to each person's criteria of selection, taste & experience. I love to play with my E6, the durability of Nokia hardware is still good, not plastic mah. Call me old fashioned but I want it last min 3 years, so far only Nokia so faithful follow me.
Samsung, sorry lah, for me it's nice to see, nice to hold, fast to spoil. LCD Samsung tv, Desktop Monitors, kaput in less than 3 years. LG also can last longer. Handphone, 1.5 years also tak boleh, after warranty finish, bye2. Either Samsung dont like me or it's not fated. Dunno why everywhere on the web, Android fans keep bashing Nokia, here less but still got arguement, haiz. Want see/get info on E6 also hard. |

Now that you spoken, it's true that none of the Symbian 3 phones are made from plastic. Still, whether it's plastic or metal enclosure, there's nothing to cover the aging OS.
Anyway, comparison is just one of the method to find room for improvement for those who can't innovate. Look at new N9. Nokia does innovate something good but doesn't go too far from there. |

To Nokia E6 users, do you have any charges from your telco such as RM0.15 for value added service sms after using this phone?
I've got 2 smses from value added services (number is 32424) and was charged RM0.15 for each sms. 1st sms was on the day I got my phone. Is there any software in Nokia E6 which is sending out smses without my knowledge? (for activation purpose etc) |

1. video call 2. QWERTY 3. good camera 4. capable video player 5. decent pricing i.e. in the bracket of $600 - $800 ++ (how much does it sells for now anyway) or is there any other phones i should look for based on the above criteria? many thanks in advance |

QWERTY 3. good camera 4. capable video player 5. decent pricing i.e. in the bracket of $600 - $800 ++ (how much does it sells for now anyway) or is there any other phones i should look for based on the above criteria? many thanks in advance While it works just fine like any other Symbian Anna smartphone, there is one apparent thing that seperates them from this. Most of the apps are being designed for nHD (640x360) while E6 is 640x480. This result in quite a lot of apps not made available for it. As for video playback, there is no problem with it except for the resolution yet again. You can only watch it in portrait mode and cant switch to landscape mode. Yes, the pixel density is high but its just too small to make any good use of the pixel density. This post has been edited by andrekua: Nov 11 2011, 08:23 PM |

Good work+ personal phone. But the price that you want dont think can get. Now its RM1,000+ for ori, the budget you have closer to E5 |

I tried this phone at a Nokia stall ( dunno what to call it, it's not a shop )
I felt really baffled when I press the middle button and it went into the clock application. Not used to this method since using all other Nokia phones, pressing middle button/menu button = menu. On this one need to use touch screen. But I find it quite nice considering it is an E-series. The feel of this phone is better than most other phones |
